I love the extra level of versatility that this offers. My neckstrap has quick disconnects and so does this wrist strap. I can alternate between the two as the situation dictates. I usually prefer holding the camera loose in my hand without the neckstrap, and the wrist strap allows that without the fear of dropping my pride and joy. There are times, however, when I need my hands free and switching over to the neck strap only takes a matter of seconds.
The neoprene is comfortable and it feels very secure. I have no fear of it slipping off my wrist, especially since the loop can be shrunk down to fit the narrowest of wrists.
It does get a bit sweaty, though.

I bought this to take on a fishing trip where I knew I'd have my expensive equipment in some precarious situations. I didn't end up using it as much and I expected as I found it a little too tight and unwieldy, especially when switching from landscape to portrait view quickly. However when I was using it, the strap felt very secure and it certainly put my mind as ease. I can see myself using this more often on similar shoots.

Comments about OP/TECH USA SLR Wrist Strap (Black):
It is a little larger than other wrist straps from Leica etc. But it feels secure and is incredibly comfortable. The best part is that it uses the same quick connect adapters as my Op/Tech shoulder strap. So I can leave the camera-side connector on my cameras and quickly attach them to either the wrist or shoulder straps. Great product.

This is a great alternative to a neck strap. Great security without the "pain in the neck".

Comments about OP/TECH USA SLR Wrist Strap (Black):
It has two parts, one part you attach to the camera and the other to your wrist. The two parts click together securely. Therefore you don't have to take it off your wrist every time you want to temporarily put your camera back to the camera bag. It is very convenient. The material is neoprene it doesn't irritate the skin.

This wrist strap is exactly what I was looking for. I rarely use the neck strap and always wrap it around my wrist and this strap is much more comfortable especially because its made out of neoprene. It feels secure and also gives enough slack to shoot in the vertical position.

Terrific alternative to a neck strap. Sometimes I use a BlackRapid strap(which I love), but if I'm going to be using my camera consistently or carrying it with a belt clip, the wrist strap is great. You're never encumbered and it eliminates the anxiety of carrying an expensive camera with expensive glass with out a strap.

I purchased this for my new Olympus Pen E-PL2 which, being a much smaller and lighter camera than my DSLR, never seemed to be right with a strap. I've always liked smaller cameras nearer at hand. I like the strength of the strap, the way I can handle it, and its ability to tighten up around my wrist.
About the only thing I do not like is the fact that it takes a moment to loosen in order to free the hand.
But for me, it fits the bill.

No frills wrist strap that just simply does the job of keeping a camera secure. My only concern is if neoprene will stay snug after continuous use.

Comments about OP/TECH USA SLR Wrist Strap (Black):
I never find neck straps to be comfortable, especially with the camera dangling loosely in front of me and I'd have to hold on to my camera to keep it steady. Putting my camera in my bag with the attached neck strap can also be kind of an annoyance - feels like a lot of effort to put away neatly something I don't really care for. I tend to travel light, mostly with my camera and an attached lens, so I want to keep things compact and this wrist strap is certainly a huge improvement over the neck strap.
This strap is comfortable and can be adjusted to fit nicely on my thin wrists. It took a bit of an effort to put the loop through the camera, but the system feels very sturdy and secure.

I got tired of always trying to keep the factory supplied camera strap adjusted. Often times the strap would just get in the way of picture taking... Then, I discovered this simple wrist strap. Problems solved. Works well with my Canon G11.
Should have purchased this years ago.

This is a sturdy and comfortable strap and does exactly what it promises.
Works well within the Op/Tech strap and connector system, too.

Good for what it is! But I got to warn you that if you want some support get the canon hand strap if you have the battery grip. If no grip get this one!

Comments about OP/TECH USA SLR Wrist Strap (Black):
I always carry my camera in my hands, and this strap will save you from losing your camera if for some reason you lose your grip on it.
It will also help thwart thieves from trying to snatch your camera and run off with it (ask me how I know). For this reason alone, it's worth buying.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars as opposed to 5 is that it is just a little too "stretchy" for a heavy camera, and that the sliding cinch adjustment doesn't stay put.

Comments about OP/TECH USA SLR Wrist Strap (Black):
I hadn't used a wrist strap before, but I don't carry my camera around my neck often and the neck strap is bulky. So I decided to give this wrist strap a shot. It works well. It's secure yet there is enough movement to access all camera controls. It's mostly neoprene so it should be durable and it is water proof. Overall it seems solid although it would look better if they had used leather attachment points.

I shoot around water, along cliffs, on trails, and I have a 2 year old. I don't like having my camera dangling naked around my neck - I prefer a quick access camera case. I don't use camera straps. I don't like wrist straps either but as my camera lenses get bigger and heavier, my locations get more dangerous, and my son gets more interested in cameras, I've learned to like wrist straps.
This is my second wrist strap and I find it secure and comfortable. I had initial reservations about the quick release strap, thinking it might accidentally disengage but so far it has been secure. I like the idea of flexibility - just in case I do end up using a neck strap (it's compatible with other OpTech brand accessories).

As a street photographer I even went as far as buying a thin strap at B&H's used department because it wrapped better around my wrist. This product is fantastic:
- The rubber grip around the wrist feels really secure
- It is easy to take in or out
- The strap can be adjusted for tightness
- The grip feels secure and flexible
It took me all of 30 seconds to attach it and presto! improved my grip 100%

Easy to slip on and stays on. Comfortable, adjustable and reasonably priced. I use it when shooting action photos rather than wrapping the neck strap around my wrist, which I find is cumbersome.
