The SS-R1 from Tascam is a professional-quality 1RU Compact Flash recorder. Designed to be used in applications that previously used cassette or MiniDisc recorders, the SS-R1 records high-quality WAVE or MP3 files to widely-available Compact Flash media.
The SS-R1 offers terrific connectivity options, with XLR and RCA line-level inputs and outputs, and S/PDIF digital coaxial inputs and outputs. Multiple control options are available, with a wired remote, and RS-232 and parallel ports for remote control. A PS/2 keyboard connector lets you easily name files and folders, and control the unit.
