Very Solid Clamp. Holds on to whatever you clamp it to with no problem. I feel confident putting my quadra heads on it while clamped to a branch or a pole. Rubber feet in the clamp jaws make for better traction and wont scratch whatever you are clamping it to. Unfortunately not very intuitive for such a simple piece of equipment. You can attach the flash head in several ways, but most require additional hardware which doesn't come up in searches on bh. The main method of attaching the head works great though, so still a solid 4 stars.

Construction is good, but I wonder if the clamp is a little too strong. I've really got to squeeze hard to open to fully. I got this to solve an odd clamping concept (holding a pinhole camera in place, and I'm not sure if it wouldn't crush my camera!

Sturdy and strong. I use it to hold up an off camera flash (285hv or 430e exii). It takes up a little more room than I'd like - about as much as a Vivitar 285hv or more - in my bag.

I use this clamp with an articulated arm to hold light modifiers in place. Is a little hard to open, but I think it will get easier with time and use.

This clamp does exactly what you might think it does, it holds a battery powered flash or strobe head and does it very well. Nice piece of useful gear at a good price. I use it in the studio and on location.

Yes there are cheaper "A" spring-clamp solutions, but this thing has some built-in goodies that make it mate better with lightstands, clamps and flash cold/hot shoes.

It has large rubber feet inside the clamp so it is less likely to damage whatever it's clamped to.

The photos of these make them look smaller than what they are ...

A very high quality good sturdy clamp. I added a Giottos Mini Ball Head and a Stroboframe Accessory Shoe and use the combination for an off-camera small strobe mount. Clamps most anywhere. It's just like a Justin clamp but better and a little cheaper.
