PRO EX Expansion Chassis
The PRO EX is a scalable expansion chassis for computers with PCI Express slots. The chassis can house up to seven PCI Express x8 cards, allowing you to connect several PRO DQ RAID systems to your computer. The expansion system requires an available PCI Express x8 slot on the host computer for communication.
SATA 3Gb/s Connection
The SATA 3Gb/s connection delivers incredible data throughput, giving you enough bandwidth to handle high-definition video. A PCI Express controller card is included, allowing you to connect the array via the included quad-channel eSATA cables.
RAID Flexibility
The array can be configured as a RAID 0, which delivers maximum performance or as RAID 1 for data mirroring, protecting your data in case of a drive failure. More advanced RAID types, including RAID 3, RAID 5, and RAID 6 are also available. You even have the option of configuring the array in a JBOD format, which lets you access each physical drive individually. This gives you extreme flexibility in how you configure your array, ensuring that it meets your specific needs.
Video Playback
The array delivers enough throughput to play back ProRes 422, DV, DVCPRO HD, uncompressed SD, uncompressed HD, and 2K video formats. It can even play back multiple streams in real-time.
