I was looking for an inexpensive CF card for my daughter to replace the Sandisk card which was giving her trouble.
I searched auction web portals and other sites - but found the best deal on B & H.
4GB is just the right size with enough capacity for the casual user. If shooting professionally having a couple cards makes sense. They are small enough to transport easily and I'm a fan of not keeping all my eggs (or photos) in one basket so to speak.
The Kingston card loaded into her Olympus SLR easily and seated securely. No error writing problems and it's performed reliably so far - I'd recommend it.

This memory card is large enough to store a good number of large, fine JPEGs or RAW images, but read and write times are very slow. For someone who does a lot of bracketing, bursts, or even chimping, get the faster version of this card.

Comments about Kingston 4GB Standard CompactFlash Memory Card:
I have about 80 photography students using these daily in DSLR cameras...wanted the extra space because we only format once a week. Has been a godsend. Always been able to rely on Kingston.

Don't get fancy, grab this gem at a great price. Unless you take 10 pictures a second all the time, you don't need anything more.

Comments about Kingston 4GB Standard CompactFlash Memory Card:
This card was a great value. But I found after using it with my Canon Rebel XT that read speed is somewhat slow. There is slight lag while viewing pic on the camera, but a much more substantial lag to dump all pictures off of the card (I have had to do this more frequently than I'd like as this is only a 4gb card). It took an hour and a half to transfer 3.7gb of pic off of it. While this is not advantageous if its going to be your primary card, its acceptable as a secondary/backup.

I use this with my Canon 7D for both pictures and videos. For the cost, it is very good. No noticeable lag for both videos and burst mode pictures.

I purchased this CF to use on an old HP 360LX palmtop. Windows CE 2.0 only supports cards up to 2GB, so I partitioned it to two 2GB segments using Ubuntu and it works great. I've yet to see a 4GB for this price.

Not the fastest of cards, but hard to beat for the price. If you aren't shooting images at high rates, this is a good deal.

Comments about Kingston 4GB Standard CompactFlash Memory Card:
I had TWO of these cards crash on me in a single day. I was taking pictures of my daughter on her nine-month "birthday", when the first card crashed, and I lost all of the photos I had just taken. I was crushed. I had to start over with a second card (with an impatient, squirmy baby), and the second card crashed after I finished those photos. Thankfully these were just personal pictures and I was not on a paying job. But, I learned my lesson and will not be using these cards on paying jobs.

Comments about Kingston 4GB Standard CompactFlash Memory Card:
I used SD and CF cards for audio recordings, so I don't need the data transfer rates or the larger capacity that is required for shooting RAW format images or video. A dependable product is what I need and these cards are a great bargain for just that. I don't expect to need them in many years from now, as the recorders change formats, So i can give the card with the original recordings to my clients as well as the edited versions on whatever format they want.

Comments about Kingston 4GB Standard CompactFlash Memory Card:
This card came with my Canon 5d Mark ii order. I already have larger CF cards, but it's always nice to have another card on hand.
So far it runs well, holds a few hundred pictures + some HD video. If you're shooting video, you just need to watch the quality level you're shooting in; the highest quality will obviously fill up the card faster than the lower quality/smaller videos.
