The Stroboframe Pro-Digital Folding Flip Flash Bracket offers high value, compact size, light weight and fast handling, and is made with the same quality materials and construction as Stroboframe's professional brackets. The bracket accepts all SLR cameras, except those with large accessory battery packs or motor drives, and also works well with compact cameras.
The Folding Flip bracket - when folded - can easily fit into even a small gear bag, and is great for travel. It has a 1/4"-20 thread, so that it will easily attach to most cameras, be it film and digital types.
The Folding Flip bracket accepts Stroboframe anti-twist camera plates for a reliably sure, rigid connection. Please see this link for a list of compatible cameras.

I largely do "fine art" photography and have had little use for a flash bracket. Recently, however, my sister asked me to photograph her wedding. It was her second marriage and her husband's second marriage too, so they did not want to spend money on a real wedding photographer. (Note to all wedding photographers: I have been asked to shoot weddings on several occasions and always tell the client to get someone who shoots weddings for a living--a professional. Never skimp on a photographer!) I noticed that at an indoor civil union I shot there were a lot of harsh shadows behind the people I photographed. Everything I read said to use a bracket. I then asked several wedding photographers which brand was their favorite. Most said Stroboframe. I am very happy with their advice. My only complaint is that using it vertically wasn't easy--the movement is a bit stiff. However, I am willing to chalk that up to inexperience and the fact that it isn't broken in. I am very happy with this flash bracket. If you are shooting a pro model DSLR or serious amateur DSLR, make sure you get the anti-twist plate for your model. I put my father's Canon XTi and it did not move at all with the cork pad. The 20D and up did twist a little under rugged use.

I used this bracket when I had a 420ex and it was pretty good. I use it now with a 430ex and am not thrilled with it. One issue I've had on a number of occasions is accidentally hitting the release buttons on the frame and the left side falls down against the camera. I feel that it is a little weak and unstable because I've felt it shake around when I lift it up quickly and the flash bobs (front to back, not up and down).
Where I have a battery grip on my camera, it doesn't allow for vertical orientation with the grip shutter release on top. The frame base is pretty wide so the camera can stand on its own but maybe not so well with heavy lenses. Overall it is decent but I wouldn't buy another one. I am planning to replace it with a more simple frame that allows the grip shutter button to be used.

Comments about Stroboframe Pro-Digital Folding Flip Flash Bracket:
I have owned this bracket for 2 years and it has held up well. It is easy to flip from horizonal to vertical with just a touch of a button and a flip of the flash.
I use it for outdoor senior portrait work and engagement pictures with a Nikon D-50 and a Nikon D-7000 along with a heavy 80-200 2.8 lense and have no issues so far.
Both camera's fit securely on the stock cork bottom and are easy to line up with the flash unit. This bracket can be folded to fit in a small package and is a good value for the price.

Comments about Stroboframe Pro-Digital Folding Flip Flash Bracket:
This bracket is solid and supportive for use with my 1D Mark III and my 580EXII. The flip feature is very helpful to position the strobe head over the lens in shooting in portrait mode. However, it is a bit awkward in holding the unit in this position.
The anti-twist plate is a must to stop the bracket
from twisting.

Comments about Stroboframe Pro-Digital Folding Flip Flash Bracket:
I was looking for a foldable but sturdy flash bracket and found this one by Stroboframe. It holds my camera (Canon EOS T2i) securely, is comfortable to hold, and allows the whole unit to rest on a flat surface. The one thing that seems to be missing is a locking point for the top brace when in the normal, horizontal position.

Comments about Stroboframe Pro-Digital Folding Flip Flash Bracket:
The locking pin fell apart with less than 2hours of use. I had used a quick flip for about 3 years and decided to replace it with a folding model to make it easier to stow but was really disappointed. The pin is a simple press fit with no mechanical attachment. Until this mechanism is replaced with something reliable I cannot recommend it.

Comments about Stroboframe Pro-Digital Folding Flip Flash Bracket:
This bracket works good to hold the flash above the lens in horizontal orientation but it gets in the way when you try to shoot vertical. Even with the use of a vertical shutter release you are still gripping alot of the frame. Plus the extra height of the flash in horizontal and even vertical does not give any real improvements.

Comments about Stroboframe Pro-Digital Folding Flip Flash Bracket:
I recently used this product to shoot a wedding. It was a breeze transitioning from horizontal to vertical shots. It is light weight and it folds up efficiently for storage in my gear bag. I had to be careful to turn the camera the proper direction or the top arm would fall to another position with my speed flash attached. Nothing terrible happened to my flash, but it did scare me. It is something I will have to watch in future jobs. Overall, compared to some of the brackets I see my peers use, this small size is right for me.

Comments about Stroboframe Pro-Digital Folding Flip Flash Bracket:
In order to make this compact when folded up, the design is not the most robust that you will encounter. If you are looking for a portable answer to your needs, this is a good choice. If you don't need it to fold up, look elsewhere.

Comments about Stroboframe Pro-Digital Folding Flip Flash Bracket:
Great product well built. I will use it manly in wedding photography. Very simple but durable design. Foam handle could be a bit more padded but no complaints. Lots of room for any kind of camera to fit under the flash unit. I am glad I bought two!

Comments about Stroboframe Pro-Digital Folding Flip Flash Bracket:
This bracket is easy to use and folds up nice and compact. The only thing I do not like about it is the arm that holds the flash does not lock into place in the normal position. It locks when you turn it to take a Portrait shot, but not in regular Landscape.

Comments about Stroboframe Pro-Digital Folding Flip Flash Bracket:
I also have the earlier unit, and it needs some fixes to keep from colapsing (folding) in upon itself.
The positive, push-button feature greatly increases the lock up and prevents premature folding.

Comments about Stroboframe Pro-Digital Folding Flip Flash Bracket:
I am an semi pro photographer and with space in my bag limited the fact that the bracket folds into a very small space is great. It unfolds in seconds and is ready for use in under a minute. You do need to use a drill to enlarge the elongated holes in the base plate or risk stripping the mounting screws. Other than that a great product.

Comments about Stroboframe Pro-Digital Folding Flip Flash Bracket:
I used this to eliminate redeye when shooting events. The swing mechanism uses a small aluminum flange to lock the flash bar. This is too light weight for repeated use and stopped functioning after 20 or 25 uses. Easy to mount, easy to flip, just not a durable design.

I used a rotary drill to widen the bottom slot to avoid ruining the screw for my Nikon D80. This was a simple, permanent fix to avoid cross-threading when I mounted my camera.
