I needed a bag to put all my stuff in comfortably with ease of access, but I didn't want a duffle bag or a backpack. I like shoulder bags and the ease of having my camera right there when I reach for it.
Before I even began shopping bags I had said to myself that I needed something that was one compartment wider than what I was currently carrying. Thinking only of adding an additional lens and little else. I researched this bag quite a bit and to be honest was afraid that it would be too big to be practical. Something that was disproved as soon as I unpacked it and put it beside my old bag.
I now have a bag that is smaller that I expected and still comfortably, safely and accessibly holds all my stuff with room to spare for another lens or flash. Has PLENTY of pockets too. I hadn't noticed before but that is awesome, but I can put my gels, pens, and other bits here and there without feeling cluttered.
Surprised by the size and definitely a happy buyer

This bag was very nice when I first started out, but once I purchased a 70-200mm f/2.8 L it very quickly began to bulge. I have tried many different configurations and only 1 is usable. Here is what I am trying to pack:
Canon 20D gripped
Canon D60 gripped
Canon 70-200 2.8L
Canon 50 1.8
Canon 430EX
Tamron 24-80 3.5-5.6
Gitzo Rocket Blower
Remote Release Cable
Small roll of Gaffer Tape
and that is just in the main pocket area. This makes for a very tight pack requires items to be put in, in a certain order.

Comments about Lowepro Nova 200 AW Shoulder Bag (Black):
I bought this bag for my trip to UK. I have the older one, Nova 3 AW, it was too small. I also have the Lowepro backpack, that works better for hiking & when your hands are not full. This bag fits all my I have 5 lenses, 70-200mm, 100-400mm, 24-70mm, 85mm & 14mm, flash 580EXII & my camera body. I still have some room to fit more if I am willing to carry more. My son drop it several times while trying to help me carry, no problem, no one gets hurt.
Travelling with an infant & a toddler, I really like this bag for these reasons:
1. Quick & easy access easy. This bag allowed me to change lenses very quickly. Unlike the bag pack, I have to flip open the top flip to get to lenses, I don't want to reveal too much especially in London, land of too many pick pockets.
2. Secure from pick pocket, it has a lot of inside & outside zipped pockets.
3. Is heavy to carry but is not really very different if I use my backpack.
4. For me, is not too big to carry it for hiking, Thomasland & sightseeing even when you are not carrying all the lenses with you. I filled up the unused area with my kid's diapers & their lunch.
Conclusion, I hated to travel 10 hours to realize I forgot the other lens at home. So having this bag to carry all my photography stuff is awesome. Also it allowed me to convert it to my camera+day bag when I am out hiking is a huge advantage. Then I really do not need so many bags.

I use this bag for storing all my gear at home.
I currently have a :
*canon 60D with 50mm lens attached
*a Canon Powershot sx10is
*Canon Rebel T2 film body
*a 28-90mm lens
*55-250 lens
*18-135 lens
*extra battery
*battery charger
*camera wires
*all manuals
in this bag with more room to spare. defiantly enough room for a few flashes and/or additional lenses. Its a very sturdy, protective bag and ill defiantly be sticking with Lowepro bags, very good quality.
My only complaints probably won't be complaints once I get deeper into my photography obsession.
1. Its definitely too big for my 5"2' 125lb self to carry around while I photograph (I assumed this when purchasing which is why I also bought the passport sling for outings)
2. I wish more of the dividers had larger velcro areas on them for different sizing of compartments. I also wish there would have been an additional amount and a variety of sizes for the dividers. I do mostly portrait so my lenses tend to be smaller and it would be nice if there were more pieces to put in-between lenses that are stacked, and to be able to make additional compartments for other items. With what I have right now all items are in their own compartments but with the two lenses and flash i have on my wish list, Ill be lucky if I'm not putting something directly on top of or next to another piece of gear. for those with larger lenses, this probably won't be an issue, butFor my growing collection there just doesn't seem to be enough dividers.
Since this is my at-home storage bag its perfect! It protects me gear great, fits everything I have, with room for more. and the way it zippers around the top with the cover going well over the zippered areas, my two toddlers have not even attempted trying to get into it. I have not used the rain cover yet, but I love how it goes on and your still able to access the gear with out taking it off.

I absolutely LOVE this bag! As my photography equipment increases and changes, I needed a bag that will change with me. I can fit TWO full bodies with attached lenses along with three other lens, flash and battery packs. There are a lot of pockets, zippers and compartments for chargers and instruction manuals. There are two flexible pockets on each side that take the overflow from the bag. It also comes with a weather protector cover which is awesome if / when I get caught in the rain (which has happened to me before!) It's also comfortable on my shoulder even when it's full which surprised me. The shoulder pad is very padded and I love the flexible dividers inside. This bag is just plain awesome!

I use this to carry my DSLR with a 17-55mm lens attached. Additionally, carrying a 100mm Macro and 70-200mm with no problems.
Velcro is very sturdy. It sticks well and won't go anywhere unless you want to tear it off. Shoulder strap is nice and comfy. The hooks are not plastic--solid metal and feel very sturdy when hooked on.

My Wife gave me a Nova 180 for my birthday. It was smaller than I wanted so I exchanged it for the Nova 200. Being able to open the compartments with the rain cover in place is great. I have two DSLR bodies four lenses, EF70-200mm 1:2.8 L, EF 24-105mm 1:4L, EF 100mm 1:2.8, EF 50mm 1:1.4, a EF 2x II extender, a 580EX II speedlite, and assorted batteries and chargers all in this bag. It is easy to access all this equipment. It would be helpful if the velcro went 360 degrees around the main compartment. Over all a very nice bag.

I am a wedding/portrait photographer, and I purchased 2 bags to replace my back-pack style bags. For my needs, these are much more useful, carry more equipment and look more professional. Each bag can fit a D700 with 24-70 attached & D300 with 17-55 attached, plus 2-SB900s, a 70-200 VRII, 85/1.4, 50/1.4 plus MB-D10 grip & other accessories/batteries

Comments about Lowepro Nova 200 AW Shoulder Bag (Black):
This is a great bag for on the go photo and video. Good amount of cushioning, plenty of space for all the gear I will need depending on my shoot, and easy to store. I can fit all of the gear from my bulky photo backpack into this bag, and it saves more space for storing.
I do feel like there is more room for extra storage that could have easily been integrated, but that is not really a problem. A little bulky when over the shoulder, you more than likely wouldn't want to keep it on while shooting.
