Its electric motor has a built-in variable-speed selector for tracking fast-moving close objects and slower deep-space subjects, and electronic braking for precise positioning. It connects to the declination motor jack on your telescope mount and is outfitted with a friction clutch for easy adjustment by hand, without requiring clutch releases.
