JMI Telescopes MOTODEC Motorized Declination Drive for Celestron C8, Ultima, & Other Scopes

JMI Telescopes makes the MOTODEC declination drive for the Celestron C5+ (single fork arm version), C8, C8+, C8+ Computerized, Celestar 8, Classic 8, Fastar 8, Powerstar 8, Super C8, Super C8+, Ultima 8, Ultima 9.25, & Ultima 11 Scopes.  Vibration-free, direct-drive declination adjustment is practically a necessity for any higher-magnification visual or imaging use, and users of this motor describe it as 'smooth as silk'.

In the case of these Celestron scopes, MOTODEC's electric declination motor is connected to the declination motor jack in the base of the telescope.  It is controlled with the telescope's normal controller, but if you like you can buy an optional hand controller from JMI-in fact, some older C8's don't have a declination input jack in the base and will obviously require an optional hand unit.  This MOTODEC is a friction-driven motor which goes on and off the scope in mere seconds, and has a manual clutch for adjustment by hand as well.
