Sanyo's Xacti VPC-HD1010 High Definition Camcorder (Black) records video in both 1080p (30fps) and 1080i (60fps) high definition straight to SD/SDHC memory cards. This ergonomically designed camera fits comfortably in your hand while you capture up to an hour of video on a single 8GB memory card. The 1/25" CMOS sensor records rich, true-to-life video while the 2.7" widescreen LCD display rotates up to 285° for hard to capture shots and easy viewing upon playback. The HD1010 also boasts 10x optical zoom, 4Mp still image capture, Face Detection and Face Chaser technologies.
Other features include image stabilization, Super-Fast Startup, an HDMI connection, docking station and 2 channel AAC-LC sound recording. Manual controls, including, manual focus, exposure and aperture, to name a few, allow you to explore your creative side. Sequential photo capture and a dedicated external microphone terminal are also featured.
- High Definition Recording
- Record video in either 1920 x 1080 (1080p), 30 frames per second HD, or 1920 x 1080 (1080i), 60 frames per second HD. By allowing you to switch between 1080i or 1080p you're sure to capture rich, true-to-life colors and tones each and every time you shoot.
- Ergonomic Design
- Designed to easily fit in your hand, Sanyo created an ergonomic and functional camcorder with the VPC-HD1010. The 105° angle of the camera is proven to be more comfortable and less tiring.

- 4Mp Still Images
- Capture 4Mp still images using the HD1010. Enjoy simultaneous video and still image capture while recording video by simply pressing the shutter button.
- 2.7" Widescreen LCD
- The 2.7" widescreen LCD display gives you a generous platform on which to compose and playback video and stills. In addition, the display flips out and rotates up to 285°, allowing for capture of normally hard to get shots.
- Image Stabilization
- The camera's image stabilization compensates for the occasional bump or shake that inevitably befalls video recording. Using Sanyo's proprietary algorithm up-and-down and side-to-side movements are corrected for, resulting in clean, crisp video.
- Sequential Shooting
- Up to seven pictures in one second are recorded in the sequential shooting mode, providing you with a detailed still image account of your favorite action moments.
- Face Detection
- Face Detection technology makes getting each subject's face clear and clean effortless in your still shots. The camera automatically adjusts for brightness and focus on up to 12 faces.
- Face Chaser
- Face Chaser technology for video, works much the same as Face Detection for stills by effortlessly capturing each subject's face with clarity and accuracy. The camera automatically adjusts for brightness and focus on up to 12 faces.
- High Quality Audio Recording
- High definition video recording deserves high quality audio recording. The Xacti HD1010 records 48KHz, 16 bit, 2 channel sound for AAC-LC (MPEG-4 audio). An external microphone can be attached to the camera.
- Web Cam
- Use the HD1010 as a web cam for talking to friends and family from far away or down the street.
- PictBridge Compatibility
- Use the camera's SD/SDHC cards for fast and easy uploading or printing with PictBridge devices.
- Built-In Pop-up Flash
- Capture nighttime or low light shots with the built-in, pop-up flash of the VPC-HD1010.
- SD/SDHC Flash Memory Recording
- Record to either SD or SDHC flash memory cards. The camcorder will record up to 1 hour and 27 minutes of 1080p video on an 8GB card and 1 hour and 14 minutes of 1080i on an 8GB card. You can use up to a 32GB card with this camera.
- HDMI High Definition Output
- The HDMI terminal on the included docking station provides you with an HDMI output, allowing for only one cable (cable not included) output of video and stills to your TV for digital viewing.
- Super-Fast Startup
- The super-fast startup function of the HD1010 ensures that you'll never miss that once-in-a-lifetime moment again. When the camera is powered on, closing the LCD will put it into standby mode, when you re-open the display the camera will be ready for recording in only two seconds.
- Manual Controls
- The manual controls of the camera allow you to explore your creative side. Take advantage of manual focus, aperture adjustment, exposure compensation, shutter speed and image-quality adjustment (sharpness and color saturation).
- HD Playback
- Play back your video and stills in full HD on your HDTV by connecting the camcorder directly to your television. Also record backups of your footage by connecting to your VCR or DVD player or to your PC for editing or sharing via the Internet.
- Remote Control
- Control playback of your footage from a comfortable distance using the included remote control.
