Then this is the card for you! You will get about 1,600 RAW files on it, it is just as fast as the camera can go (actually a bit faster but....) and it will save your tail when it comes to "dropped" card, dirt in the contacts from card changes etc. Most pros understand that that CF slot in the camera has a limited cyclic life and, sooner or later, it is going to fail.
If you shoot wildlife/nature this is pretty much a guarantee -- you are gonna drop a card when changing it! Even IF the card lands in a retrievable spot (not under a Land Rover in front of an Elephant!) Murphy's law says that some dirt is going to get stuck in the contact socket holes that is going to absolutely RUIN the camera's long and fragile contact pins....
Fewer card exchanges in the field equals fewer chances for Mr. Murphy's statutory interference and for that reason (even IF the card was otherwise pedestrian) alone I STRONGLY reccommend this card!
All the Best!

PS -- Took 2 to Alaska and they were just perfect for that long Kenai Fjords boat trip, only had to do one change for circa 3,000 shots and I could do that at my leisure in the cabin.....

I purchased this card for a wedding I was going to shoot. I believed Sandisk to be the best manufacturer out there for CF cards but after only 2 days of light use in my Canon 5d mk2 the card failed with no return. Reformatting did not work... it completely died! The card was expensive to buy and because I needed it for a wedding I had to purchase a further two 16gb cards to cover me until I can hopefully get a refund from Sandisk.I'm only glad that it failed before the wedding and not after!

This is the prefect card to use in my Canon 40D digital camera. I don't have any problems with lag time. Plus the price makes this well worth the buy.

I have had two of theses cards a couple weeks now and so far so good. It has been awesome to have 32 gigs for my 5d mark II. The 30 mbs seems to get the job done and I would recommend this to anyone...The rebate is 60 dollars per card if you buy two at the same time..

Comments about SanDisk 32GB Extreme III CompactFlash Card:
I have used other CF cards but have returned time and time again to sandisk.
Sandisk extreme series of CF and SD cards offers me the reliabiltity and speed that I need to capture images and clear the camera buffer quickly when the action is fast and furious. The CF and SD cards can keep up with both 10MP 10FPS cameras and 21MP cameras. Each camera captures and writes large images quickly and the faster the images are written to the card the faster I can get back to taking pictures.
I routinely shoot 16-32GB of images a week and have never lost a single image due to file corruption or card failure. I cannot say the same for other brands which I have tried in order to save some money. I have owned 3 other brands of cards and all three eventually failed.
Sandisk also has image rescue pro which allows for the retrievel of accidentally deleted or erased images from the card. I used this program once when I deleted images from my card and computer and later wanted to get them back. They were gone for good from the computer but within a few minutes I was able to use the program to rescue the images from my card and reinstalled them onto the computer.
While I did try and save a few dollars with other brands the cost of losing irreplacable images taken at a photo shoot, event or of family far outweighed the money I saved.

[...]Regarding the CF card. I'm using it in a Canon 50D, great camera by the way. Back to the card though, it works, as I expected - no different than the SanDisk 4GB card I, ah, "misplaced" a few weeks ago. The only difference I've noticed is the remaining number of available photos the camera calculates. It only computes 999 images. However, this isn't a problem for me since I'll most likely download images before the card is full. I also suspect, but this is just an educated guess, once I capture 28-30 GB of data the camera will probably correctly calculate the remaining number of images again.

Comments about SanDisk 32GB Extreme III CompactFlash Card:
It's hard to find a large enough memory card for the Sony HVR-MRC1K that is fast enough for the unit to record on. I wasn't sure about this product until I saw another review saying it worked on his Z5U, so I bought 2 of them. Now I wish I had bought 3 of them! This is a great memory card for the HVR-MRC1K and I highly recommend you take advantage of the large disk space on this CF. It's fast enough and I haven't had any problems with dropped frames or error messages during recording or playback. And for the price offered through B&H, it's hard to find a better deal for this sized card!

For the money spent, you cannot go past this card. It is fast reliable and holds plenty of storage. It now lives on my 5DmkII. It is so much faster than my Ultra II Snadisks.
It takes video with no problems and is easily recognized in all my cameras and my Mac's. Highly recommended.

Though Sony states that you could have problems using CF cards other than theirs, I have 3 SanDisk cards I use for video. (1)Extreme IV 16GB. (1)Extreme III 8GB, and (1)Extreme III 32GB. All have worked flawlessly in my HVR-Z7U Professional HD Camcorder.

I'm using the SanDisk Extreme III Compact Flash Cards for a high-end, high data rate application, where a second chance for accuracy is not usually possible. So far, they are performing exactly as advertised and as expected... just like every other SanDisk product I have owned.

I use this CF card in my Canon 5D Mark II mostly for shooting HD video, and it is plenty fast and works wonderfully. I will likely buy another of these cards at some point down the line -- the price isn't too steep, either. Good product.

I use the card in a Nikon D300. I shoot RAW and JPEG together and have never run out of storage space. Record speed and download speed are very fast. SanDisk makes a faster model but the price is significantly higher. I have no negative comments about this card.

I wish I had this card in my bag last year while shooting in the jungle. There is nothing worse than stopping to empty my smaller cards. It seems like this card lasts the full battery life cycle of my Mark 3.
