ART SLA-4 Overview

The SLA-4 from ART is a rack mountable 4-channel power amplifier designed for studio use. It offers a wide frequency response with very low noise and distortion for quality audio output. Input is via 1/4" and Euroblock connectors, while output is via 5-way binding posts. Each channel has its own level control on the front panel.

The SLA-4 can operate in multi-channel, stereo, or bridged mode, and features a ground-lift switch to eliminate hum caused by ground loops. The unit offers full protection circuitry for short circuits, overloads, and overheating. If any faults are detected, the amplifier will disconnect the outputs and automatically return to normal operation when the fault is fixed. The SmartFan cooling system offers silent fan-assisted convection cooling to keep the system running reliably.

Solid Little Amp that Packs a Punch

I've had this amp for 4 years now and I really couldn't be any happier with it. I've used it for bi-amping tower speakers, powering 4 independent speakers, subwoofers, and with a guitar preamp and cabs. It's performed flawlessly in every application. Plenty of power to boot. You can hear the fans in a quiet room, but not with any music playing. I have a stereo tube power amp with annoyingly loud fans and the ART is whisper quiet in comparison. Definitely recommend this amp.

Big things sometimes come in small packages and Art Audio's SLA4 four 100 Watt per channel power amp is no exception. Just when you thought things ain't what they used to be in the separates market place along comes this little gem . Well designed - Well Priced - Well Done Art Audio - PC LA . .

Bridge mode can be activated via a selector button on the back panel of the unit.

how to bridge 4 speakers at 8 ohms?

I'm afraid I had to call the manufacturer in Canada - Alas now days weno longer have the luxury of manuals inside the box with the amp .I also have 4 speakers bridged at 8ohms but cannot remember theconfiguration with the connecting blocks.Once you get this set up you will be well pleased - This Is A terrific power amp - 10 stars PC LA

You can as long as it's able to handle the wattage. In this case it would be 100w per channel.
