The Benro A-269M8 Travel Angel Aluminum Tripod with B-1 Ballhead is a professional-quality tripod that has lightweight, highest quality aluminum alloy legs for top performance at an economical price. In addition, magnesium is used for all die-cast parts. Despite its lower weight, magnesium is more rigid than aluminum, and has the same strength per volume.
Travel Angel tripods are easy-to-carry so you'll want them with you at all times. Travel Angel's unique 180 degree foldover design allows them to be folded into a compact package that can easily fit into backpacks or luggage. However, when you need quick setup, excellent maximum height and a rigid, stable support, Benro Travel Angels are impressive performers.
Travel Angel tripods feature individual leg angle adjustments, anti-rotation leg design, a reversible center column with spring loaded weight hook, anti dust and moisture rubber leg lock grips.

Comments about Benro A-269M8 Travel Angel Aluminum Tripod with B-1 Ballhead:
For the price this is the best travel tripod I have ever owned. It folds to a size that allows me to pack it with my other camera gear in the carry on bag I use for such purposes and when extended, even to its max height, forms a stable platform for my Nikon D700 with 24-70mm f2.8 Nikkor lens, which I use most on trips. The B1 ball head that comes with the tripod is rock solid even when I have my 80-400mm Nikkor mounted on the D700. If there is any drawback to the tripod it take a little practice to set it up quickly but once mastered set up is quick and sure.

Very nice tripo and ball head, very stable. The only thing I don't like about the tripod is the anti-twist leg sections. It takes a long time to open and close them.

Comments about Benro A-269M8 Travel Angel Aluminum Tripod with B-1 Ballhead:
I have taken this tripod with me on a few occasions and it has performed brilliantly both with my smaller 50mm lens and with my bigger(and heavier) 200mm lens.
After only a couple of goes I was familiar with it and could set it up and dismantle it easily. It extends to a very useful height (no more stooping) and feels very stable. The ability to angle the legs independently is a fabulous bonus.

This is a very lightweight and high quality tripod.
It is very stable. The ball-head is very stable and well built.
I think is very good for making panoramic photographs, portraits and macros.
When it is closed it is very handy and easy to carry in its handy shoulder bag also when I was walking in the sun in the middle of Times Square.
I am very satisfied!

I have yet to take this on my road trip but i have been using it daily. Very nice tripod. Easy locking and unlocking and smooth ball head. Also can get very little if needed. The length of it is no bigger than my backpack. I love this tripod, if you are looking for a good tripod for a budget price this is for you.

This Tripod is one of the best ones you can get for your money. Most other tripods like this one will cost you one or two hundred dollars more.

Comments about Benro A-269M8 Travel Angel Aluminum Tripod with B-1 Ballhead:
I wanted a tripod for travel that folds down small enough to fit in a carry on bag but that also provides stability. This tripod does just that. I also appreciate that it does NOT have leg locks that work by a flip of a lever. That type of lock may be quick and secure but the levers also have a tendency to latch on to anything nearby (clothes, camera straps, etc.). In addition the ball head that comes with the tripod functions smoothly. I'm not a professional and wasn't ready to lay down the kind of money a high-end tripod would require. This product meets my needs (almost) perfectly. It is a bit heavy, but the stability makes it worth the weight.

Comments about Benro A-269M8 Travel Angel Aluminum Tripod with B-1 Ballhead:
The product was exactly what I had expected, the build quality is up to par to last. When i first used the tripod I tested it with my heaviest setup: 5DII-Gripped, 70-200 f4 IS and a 430EX II. And it held it without a sweat.
If your torn between this and the CF version of the tripod, and you don't care about weight. This tripod is the one

Comments about Benro A-269M8 Travel Angel Aluminum Tripod with B-1 Ballhead:
This is my first "really good" tripod, but I have shopped around and played with high-end tripods before. The Travel Angel tripod is solid and well-built. It can competently hold my setup in all kinds of stress-inducing orientations. (My setup:
Canon 7D with EF 100-400mm lens and 1.4x extender)
I'm 6'1" and this easily gets the camera to my eye-level (a big plus). It folds down so small...love it.
With all 5 leg segments extended, there is some leg flex when you add a load to the ballhead, but I don't notice any movement once everything is setup. Given the diameter of the center column versus the last leg segments, I would actually recommend raising the center column before resorting to extending the last leg segments.
This baby is smooth and solid, and I love it.

Comments about Benro A-269M8 Travel Angel Aluminum Tripod with B-1 Ballhead:
I am an amateur interested in wildlife. orchid and landscape photography. The Travel Angel 269M8 is good for my needs, not as light as the carbon version but still easily and compactly transportable. My only concern so far is that the ballhead has a tendency to unscrew from the tripod mounting and it required careful retightening. I would also strongly advise purchasing a better quick mount plate, one specific to your camera, so that the camera doesn't risk rotating on the quick mount under use. This is a good unit for the active amateur that provides a reasonable tradeoff between weight and cost as compared to the carbon fiber version. I would buy this unit again and recommend it highly. The quality of fit and finish is fine!

Comments about Benro A-269M8 Travel Angel Aluminum Tripod with B-1 Ballhead:
I am an recreation photographer and use a tripod for indoor and night shots. Recently I have started doing HDR photography and I find that I take my tripod with me quite frequently. I have a very light weight and compact tripod with a mini-ball head and a heavier aluminum SLIK with a 3 way head. Both are good quality but the light weight has the right size but is not very stable. The heavier unit is stable but very bulky (24" length) and slow to set up. So my criteria for a tripod was it needs to be compact, quick to setup, and stable. Weight was a concern but was secondary to the other three. After looking around I found the Benro A-269M8 to fit my needs. I would have gone with the A-169M8 but I wanted the extra height (I am 6 feet). The tripod is very quick to setup and feels very sure when locked into position. I purchased it with the B1 head which is very quick and the drag adjustment is smooth. The drag is adjustable to a level that allows for full movement without locking the ball in place, even at 90 degrees without drift while not being to stiff. The quick release is very sure too and quick. The carrying case is a high quality construction and comes with a comfortable carrying strap and handle. As for the construction, the fit and finish is top quality.
