This case is the a great companion for the Canon G10. If you need a case I'd suggest this one for your new camera.
It has a belt loop if you want to carry it on your hip while walking around town or hiking. Or leave the cameras comfortable strap on the camera that comes with the G10 on the camera.
It has a quick magnetic snap for easy access.
I couldn't be any happier with this purchase.

This case provides good protection for the G 11 camera while traveling, but there is a major problem when you come to use the camera: there is no strap to the case, so where do you put it while you take a photo? It's too big to put it in your pocket, and inhibits picture taking if you try and stuff it under your arm or hold it in your hand.....

Comments about Canon PSC-5100 Semi-hard Leather Case:
I really like this case for my G11. Out of the wrapping it fits the G11 perfect. No break-in time necessary. I already had a wrist strap on my camera because I wouldn't use a neckstrap for this unit. It makes for ease of removing the camera from the case. This case makes me feel bad that I waited so long to make a decision to purchase it only because it works so well!

Just the right size, and perfectly designed to carry with strap or on a belt. The cover is hard enough to protect the camera but not to ridged to be unconfortable, Love It

I carry my G9 in my purse and it always got banged around with no case. This case is small enough to go in my purse and I can be confident it will not get messed up.

This case is made for the Canon G12 and serves its purpose but is priced twice as much as it is worth.

Comments about Canon PSC-5100 Semi-hard Leather Case:
The G10, while not a "Mini Point and shoot" is adequately protected by the PSC-5100 Case, which is quality constructed, fits my camera perfectly, and has a belt loop. So, I wear the camera everywhere and know that it will be with me without risk of dropping. Even when I do not attach it to my belt, it is a convenient, protective carry-all. Use with a camera wrist strap not the neck strap. Thus I don't look like a tourist. I will now carry the G10 where otherwise I might not.

Comments about Canon PSC-5100 Semi-hard Leather Case:
This fits well and looks good. I do not understand the comments about to tight of a fit, I think it fits as it should. The case also has a loop to attach to the camera strap so it hangs to the side while in use. I would recommend this case.

Comments about Canon PSC-5100 Semi-hard Leather Case:
A good case. It's a little stiff getting the camera out of it but it's not too bad. It looks like it will loosen up with time. It's bulkier than I thought it would be. Not something that I think I'd wear on my belt if I could avoid it. (but it's nice to have the option) It definitely protects the camera well enough to feel comfortable tossing it into a duffel bag or into your coat pocket. It provides a minimal amount of bulk for what it is and looks nice. Good, solid construction.

This case will protect your powershot in style. It's a tight fit for the G12, but there's a pull tab on the side that makes loading and unloading easier.

Perfect size to protect and carry G12. Could use separate pocket for extra card and/or battery.

Comments about Canon PSC-5100 Semi-hard Leather Case:
My Canon Powershot G12 fits perfectly in this case. Its not tight but fits like it was made for this camera. I bought the WS-20 Wrist Strap instead of using the neck strap that came with the camera as several reviews I read suggested that the case would close easier without the neck strap and it does.
I wouldn't mind it if came with a small pocket for SD cards but I knew it didn't when I bought it and honestly I don't really switch out the card very often.
This isn't a case that will really offer much impact protection but it protects the camera great against scratching and allows me to throw it in my backpack without worrying that it might hit my keys or anything else and get scratched.
For me this really is just about the perfect case without being bulky like others I looked at.

Comments about Canon PSC-5100 Semi-hard Leather Case:
I purchased this case for my Canon G-11. The leather case is well made and looks great. After reading some of the reviews, one did mention that it is a tight fit and there is no more for any accessories. Regardless of this, I love the case and looks great. If you need protection for you camera, and want a case that looks great and not bulky, purchase this case.

Comments about Canon PSC-5100 Semi-hard Leather Case:
If you are looking for a small case just for the camera then this case is what you want. I was looking for a small case to hold the camera, flash, extra battery, and card reader. This case is not what I wanted. I should return it.

Comments about Canon PSC-5100 Semi-hard Leather Case:
I bought this case for my Canon G12 and it fits perfectly. I heard other reviews about the case being tight for the G10 & G11, but not the case here. The G12 slides in and out easily. The semi-hard leather looks like it will provide good basic protection, but not sure how well it would fare if it was dropped. There isn't much padding other than the soft felt inner lining against the leather exterior. This is considerably bulkier than the leather case from my ultra compact (PSC-55), which lays vertically, while this lays horizontally, but this is a much bigger camera. I ditched the included camera strap, which wouldn't really fit in the case anyway, for the Canon WS20 Wrist Strap, which really holds the camera well. Paired with this case, it looks like a woman's clutch purse, but I feel secure that if used properly, the camera will be safe.
