Have been a dedicated mac user for years, so I finally got a macbook to use on the go. It's great-compact, fast (even with a 2GHz processor), fantastic display. Snow Leopard is a very nice refinement of OS 10.5. So for under 1K, you can't go wrong.

I have a commercial print and marketing company and I have always used a PC, until now. I begin the move to Mac because I work with Graphic Designers daily and it makes communication so much simpler to have the same platform they use. Through the use of Fusion 3, I will be running Windows 7 on my Macbook as well Snow Leopard. This gives me the best of both worlds. The size and durable aluminum unibody make this system a great traveling partner. I Love It!

I finally broke down and went with a Mac. For years I've been hesitant even when trusted sources told me how great their Macs were. As my first Mac I purchased this 13" MacBook Pro. For the price it was the best new Macbook pro I could find and a good $200 below the next level of MacBook (which only has a little more speed and 2 more GB of RAM).

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking into switching to a Mac. I'm still learning a lot about the computer and operating system but everything I've learned so far I really like.

I use this Note Book for all of my college classes. The wireless connection is just as fast as being connected to a cable modem, the graphics on the computer are picture perfect, a fully charged battery will last between 3-5 hrs. depending on what you are doing. The Aluminum unibody design makes this Note Book safe and stylish. Only thing I dont like is that it's a little bit heavy for the size of it. Other than that it's a great buy!! I reccomend buying Office for mac if you plan on using this for school.

This is an excellent deal for anybody wanting an aluminum Macbook. I could've went for the 13" Macbook Pro but would've paid $150 more for only an extra 200 Mhz on the CPU, a backlit keyboard, an SD card slot, firewire, and the Pro moniker. Save some money and scoop these up while these are still around.

I purchased this Macbook after years and years of resisting the tug of popular sentiment. I wanted to start looking at developing iPhone apps, so this was a must purchase, but it's turned out to be much more than I thought. Took a while to get used to the navigation, but it has grown on me. This macbook is lightweight, solid construction, stays cool, is quiet, comfortable, and very functional out of the box. Wish it had a few more ports, a built-in modem, and a multi-card reader, but I only need those items maybe once in a long while, so it's a trade-off. Battery life is pretty good, could be a little better considering it has the latest and greatest LED screen. I've had no crashes, no overheating, no unnecessary hard drive pounding, and no system resource issues. I like that it didn't come bloated with a bunch of over-branded software that was nearly an entire day's task to get rid of on a PC. One other con is that this model doesn't have the backlit keyboard...that should come standard with all Mackbooks. Anyway, I don't have any buyer's remorse.

The new MacBook maintains the jaw dropping beauty of the OSX operating system but now surrounds it in a matte finish aluminum housing and finally ditches the "touch to see a rainbow" display. The raised buttons on the keyboard provide dynamic feedback and spacing is good for small and bigger hands. The mouse pad is absolutely incredible! Think iTouch or iPhone with the ability to use up to four fingers at a time, two allow you to resize screen images. It also provides a tactile click when you tap. Very well thought out! And speaking of well thought there are little things, like the magnetic power cord with its green or amber led - it snaps in and pulls out cleanly should someone trip on your cord while you're huddled on the floor in the airport trying to charge. But will you need to? The battery lasts a good 4 hours, more if you dim the brilliant display. What I was most impressed by is the real estate this 13 inch mac offers. After years of 15" PC based notebooks, I figured I would need the larger (and more expensive) display. This 13" being more of a 16:9 layout affords a full display in a right sized package. The [$] price tag does seems steep compared to PCs, but the rock solid OS and application suite makes for a strong offering and I feel lucky to have one!

I got this laptop to check my pictures while travelling. I have samller PC laptops, but this one is much faster, better, and its price is reasonable.Images are so vivid, and you can start to edit immediatly. OS X utilizes CPU and RAM power much better than Vista (which I am heavy PC Techy).

i'm a college student and have just converted from a hp tablet pc. i've had this for just a few days now, and it is absolutely beautiful. straight out of the box it makes you feel like somebody special. the mac os runs so much faster than vista did on my hp with more ram, and a faster processor! i'm absolutely in love with everything so far. the only thing that i would think should be a nice extra is if you can afford it go for the illuminated keyboard. apart from that, i have quickly fallen in love with this mac. very easy transition from being a windows user since the days of windows 3.1. i'm an amateur photographer and a music major and use aperture 2 and garage band is great for midi stuff. if you want to fork out the extra cash i've heard nothing but good things about logic, and logic express! all round a great computer!

this comp is used for daily tasks-- email, web use, etc.. as well as some minor audio and video editing (peak & imovie)
it's quick, feels great, looks incredibly good--and does everything we need it to do.
the only downside is that this edition of macbooks don't have firewire400.

I got this computer for my daughter and now I want one. Haven't found any negatives yet. This is one sleek well put together machine. The new screen is bright and the touchpad is a big improvement over any other laptop I have used.

Very easy to use. Looks great, very slick. It is nice and light and going from a PC to a mac was simplier then I thought. Love the programs and it how fast the computer is.

This laptop offers a fantastic display, with vibrant colors and great resolution. The new track pad works wonderfully once you get the hang of it. Battery life exceeds my expectations. The machine replaced a Windows based laptop, and I find OS-X to be far easier to configure and use.

Finally took the plunge and switched to Mac, the new Macbook is excellent, fast and quite easy to learn how to use. The price is high, but that is why some people drive BMW's instead of Toyota's. My only gripe is the difficulty in accessing how-to information, the apple website is not user friendly, and one has to wade through tons of info in fora and blogs. Otherwise, and excellent product.
