The nanoKEY from Korg is a slim line USB keyboard controller (about the size of an Apple computer keyboard) that despite its size provides very functional keyboard triggering of a software based sound-generating device. The 25 velocity sensitive keys can respond with 4 distinct velocity curves that allow for various playing styles, while the octave "Up" and "Down" buttons provide access to the full MIDI note range.
Pitch and modulations buttons provide a preset amount of pitch change and modulation, but can also be programmed for faster or slower pitch bends, or in the case of the modulation button, the control change number, and the values that will be transmitted. When set to CC MODE, each key of the nanoKEY can generate distinct MIDI control data.

Comments about Korg nanoKEY - USB-MIDI Keyboard Controller (White):
As usual Korg devices are very useful and become a straight answer to the musician need.
Very cheap, also if basically a plastic gig, but not only a toy but a very useful tool to play with a small new generation MACBOOK Air and the nice Garage Band or similar software.

Comments about Korg nanoKEY - USB-MIDI Keyboard Controller (White):
This is a great little controller. I had no trouble getting it to work with my Mac and Finale program. Octave up/down are a breeze. It seems to be well-made, considering the low cost. I would definitely recommend this controller to anyone who needs portability or has a small workspace.

Comments about Korg nanoKEY - USB-MIDI Keyboard Controller (White):
I got this controller hoping to be able to control ableton, etc, on the go, and have been sadly dissapointed. although the feature set is great (switching from midi to cc mode, octaves, and pitch shifting), the keys themselves are like weak laptop keys, and can fall off very easy (defeating the purpose of the portability of the item). also, unless i am mistaken, there is no way to turn off the velocity sensitivity, making it EXTREMELY hard to play accurately and reproduce what you have played on account of the keys material. Never have I been disappointed with a KORG product, but this time, they just really made a cheap, throwaway. I would recommend instead paying the extra 15-20 bucks and getting the AKAI LPK25 which has real keys and is the same size as the nanoKEY.

Comments about Korg nanoKEY - USB-MIDI Keyboard Controller (White):
I bought this as a low cost learning tool. It is small, light and flimsy, will not likely take much rough use. It does work as advertised. USB port on left side is poor engineering, gets in the way, and will eventually get damaged. Pro's: low cost, very portable, disposable. Con's: cheaply made, won't last long. Korgs website is not user friendly-never could get usuable authentication code for "free" M1Le software.

The form factor helps you pack it in with your laptop and take it anywhere. Excellent product. I wish there was a button somewhere that was like a sustain pedal.

Very good, Excelent!!! I'm a songwriter but just for my wife, I have a 1992 Korg X3, it is too heavy to move with it from here to there, and Im not a professional musician so, who needs 49 keys...you need more room you'll get it, Just one thing, The M1 Le sounds are very old Korg should add some other VST instead M1, but you have to buy it!
