It is made of water-resistant canvas material coated with waxes and oils; the fabric produces a unique distressed and weathered look. The bag has a protective weather flap on the front, and two bendable interior dividers that bend to allow the user a number of configurations. There are two front vertical slip pockets sized to fit a cell phone or MP3 Player and one large back slip pocket for papers or accessories. The bag is carried by a removable, adjustable non-slip Gripper shoulder strap.

Canvas material coated with waxes and oils, the fabric produces a unique distressed and weathered look right from the start. The treated fabric protects the bag from inclement weather, but retains the breathability of cotton
To return the bag to its original appearance, it includes an ointment to re-apply to the fabric

Did not fit my fx30 with attached 70-200gmii got the slightly bigger version and it’s phenomenal

This is my second Domke bag. My first one lasted me over a decade and I beat it to death. They are very rugged, durable and look good. My only issue with this model (not enough to make me not love it), are the pockets under the front flap. They lack a button or velcro to remain closed, and there is a possibility of whatever is in there to fall out. So don't put anything important in them. Otherwise it is perfect for my compact Olympus (OM system) micro four thirds.

will this fit an iPad in the back pocket so that where the ipad protrudes it would still be that the flap works well to open it up?

Yes, an all iPads, except the Pro version, fit in the back pocket, although it is a tight fit.
