qualifications: I have a sharp eye and am somewhat educated on AV equipment, but do not consider myself a videophile. we also own a 50" plasma. we have used this TV for DISH and adult movies.
review: this is a great TV for the price. we are using it in our bedroom so it doesn't get much use, but what we are satisfied with our purchase. PC and USB connectivity work great. image settings are detailed enough that you can take advantage of advanced settings without experiencing the dreaded 'soap opera' effect. the Internet features are pretty weak, so don't even consider them a selling point. the sound is pretty decent for in-TV speakers, but it may help that it is in a carpeted room. the menu UI is also pleasing to look at.
My only problem has been getting it to update the firmware via the network or USB, although I don't know if I really need the update.

I use this TV with cable, a blu-ray player and netflix streaming. All work great at high definition. Some criticisms of LCD TV's as opposed to LED's is that the blacks are not as black. This TV's blacks are very black and in the store I could not tell the difference side by side. The HD channels and movies are awesome and this particular model seems to have very little blurring with motion, probably due to the 120hz feature. The remote is incredibly user friendly although now that I subscribe to a cable box i am stuck with using their sub par remote for most applications. In summary, extremely pleased so far. I have only had this TV for a month or so though.

Wanted a TV that would have a great picture, & also had extras to boot. This one does it all, fantastic picture, easy to use, all the inputs I need, great for DVD movies, & my Xbox 360. Love the swivel stand, it's heavy, so I don't worry about the TV ever falling off the cabinet. I have a 65" Samsung in the great room & this one is just as good, just smaller. I looked at all brands, before I decided on this one, you want be disappointed.

[...] It took us about 10 minutes to unpack, mount, and connect it to our cable hook-up. The picture is nothing less than astounding. The built-in HD tuner picked up many HD channels which we don't have to pay extra for. I also love the matte finish of the screen. The sound is great coming from just the TV- no need for extra speakers.My only minor complaint is that the glass like stand and glass-like border are easily scratched when cleaning with tissues and I question their strength. But that's really a minor issue.

With all its functions, this samsung tv is still very easy to use. The digital tuner reception is powerful, and all of the inputs we used so far (USB, laptop) have been remarkable in picture and sound quality! We were just blown away by the screen's sharpness! Just a perfect tv!
