Canon's FS22 Dual Flash Memory Camcorder is ideal for people who don't want to deal with DVDs, tapes, or hard drive recording. Affordable and lightweight, the FS22 stores over 20 hours of video to its internal 32GB flash memory and gives you the option of using SDHC Memory Cards, should you need more space. Flash memory is easy to upload to your computer for editing or sharing on the Internet.
The FS22 features a 1.07Mp 1/6" CCD image sensor, Canon's DIGIC DV II Image Processor, 48x Advanced Zoom, and a 2.7" LCD display. This camera also captures digital stills and comes with extras like external microphone and headphone jacks.
Soccer moms and dads will appreciate the Pre-record mode, which captures a full 3 seconds of video before you hit the button, ensuring that you won't miss the start of the action.

It still amazes me how small this camcorder is. If you have really large hands it may be too small but for me it works and its nice to be able to carry it around in a bag thats twice as small as my old one. I like dual memory because i can keep different events (sports seasons and other school and family events) separate until i'm ready to transfer them. Plenty of internal memory even at best quality setting. Results have been fine in the gymnasium,auditorium, and outdoors. Navigating the menu is fairly simple. You should be able to play with it for 5 or 10 minutes and have it pretty much figured out, however, one should still read the manual. Very happy with ease of use and quality of recording.
Very good optical zoom and because of that you really have to resist over using it. Haven't drained the battery while using it yet but got a backup battery just to be safe. Overall, this camcorder performs just as i hoped it would and i'm looking forward to many years of enjoyment with it.
