Designed for hunters by a company full of hunters, Bushnell's 10x42 Legend HD Binocular proves once again that Bushnell is never a company to sit upon their laurels. The Legends have long been regarded as a great hunter or birder's value, and the 2009 updates offer serious advantages over the prior generations. Bushnell has increased the field of view with just a tiny decrease in eye relief, and that extra field surrounds your peripheral vision within the binocular.
The Legend HD Ultra's objective lenses now feature extra-low dispersion glass, which aims to eliminate chromatic aberration. Other improvements include a facelift to the housing armor, magnesium construction to shave precious amounts of weight, and new anti-reflective internal lens coatings to maximize overall color rendition.
The 10x42 model provides increased magnification and subject size in a standard weight for enthusiastic birders, making for a great all-around hunting and sporting unit for those that prefer the bolder view from a 10x optic (which always presents a less stable image than an 8x unit). This roof prism design offers a streamlined shape for better handling for most average-to-smaller hand.

Comments about Bushnell 10x42 Legend Ultra HD Binocular (Realtree AP HD Camouflage):
I use these binoculars while hunting in extreme weather conditions including tempeatures below freezing, snow, rain etc. These binoculars have not let me down. Additionally, their low light capabilities are on par with binoculars at a much higher price.
The only con is the lens caps are difficult to keep on the front end and cumbersome to remove off the back end.

Comments about Bushnell 10x42 Legend Ultra HD Binocular (Realtree AP HD Camouflage):
I recently awoke early, before daylight and took a hike behind my house where there are some whietail deer. Under low-light conditions the Bushnell Legend 10X42 was exceptionally clear and captured the deer's image very well. It was a 10 point buck and I could clearly make out the antlers from a distance of 400 Yards. The Binocular is a great buy for the money and comes with an excellent warantee.

Comments about Bushnell 10x42 Legend Ultra HD Binocular (Realtree AP HD Camouflage):
These are well built and provide good vision. Independent reviews I read said these optics were on par with some at 2x the cost. I'm satisfied with them. They are a bit bulkier and heavier than I was originally looking for, but give the quality I'll forgo that I ca't hide them in a pocket. The front harness was a nice inclusion in addition to the neck strap.
