This is the Elinchrom BX-Ri 250/250 To Go Set - 2 Monolight Kit.
Building on the foundation of the RX the BX-Ri series is robotically manufactured, making possible extreme precision, light weight and the addition of computer chips for software implementation. Decoding the Ri designation, the R indicates remote operation capability, while the "i" stands for Eye-cell.
A Skyport EL receiver is now built-in, meaning not only remote, wireless triggering regardless of obstructions, at distances up to 394 feet, but also powering up and down or on and off with complete control of the modeling light. Eye-Cell is particularly handy when using the BX-Ri with the on-board optical slave to sync cameras with pre-flash or red-eye function. The photographer simply programs the number of pre-flashes specific to the camera or lets the BX-Ri do it automatically.
Flash duration is an extremely fast 1/2762 sec., capable of freezing action without blur. Of course, that would be academic if your strobe didn't recycle fast enough to keep up with the energy on the shoot. Elinchrom has that covered with recycling times of 1.2 sec. (115V) at maximum power.
Purchasing a BXRi monohead gives you the key to one of the most extensive arrays of reflectors and light-shaping tools available, including the legendary Octa bank. Additionally, virtually every independent manufacturer of light modifiers makes Elinchrom compatible products.
Using your gear abroad can sometimes be problematic but the BXRi is a world-citizen, accommodating power requirements from 90-260V via auto-detection circuitry. Now you can avoid the hassles and uncertainty of overseas rental, while bringing Elinchrom quality along wherever the job is.

Comments about Elinchrom BX-Ri 250/250 To Go Set - 2 Monolight Kit (90-260VAC):
If you're looking for a kit with compactness, reliability, consistency, and wireless transmitters all-in-one, then look no further. For my studio work, I wanted to get a strobe kit that had a quality brand name and a wireless transmitter kit. This BX-Ri kit from Elinchrom fit the bill perfectly and it hasn't disappointed. I've heard great reviews about the Elinchrom Skyport transmitter system and based on experience, it has performed wonderfully.
If I could make ONE suggestion, I would highly recommend buying some Elinchrom Umbrella reflectors in addition to this kit. They aren't included and they're an essential if you want to add umbrellas to this setup.

Comments about Elinchrom BX-Ri 250/250 To Go Set - 2 Monolight Kit (90-260VAC):
I've had this set for about 2 weeks and it is perfect for what I need. I shoot newborns and older babies and younder kids in studio and I needed something light and protable with good quality. I love that the wireless transmitter is built into the lights and the fact that I can control the settings from my camera. The quick recovery time is a great asset too. I need to study up a little more on all the functions but the basics are pretty easy to manage[...] I was looking at the 500/500 set and the rep. I talked to directed me to this set because I work in smaller space that would make the other too powerful for what I need.[...] Couldn't ask for a better experience!

Comments about Elinchrom BX-Ri 250/250 To Go Set - 2 Monolight Kit (90-260VAC):
I love the functionality of this lighting system. It obeys the rule that form follows function and then takes it to new levels. I also have the octabox mini with another 250. I only wish this set was offered with the 27" softboxes. The 26" it comes with isn't comparable with grids. Other than that, it's amazing!!!
