I am a semi-professional musician who gigs a couple of times a month. I use this mic stand at rehearsals and gigs. While it is very inexpensive, I think it gives great value for the money. The base is wide and stable, the boom telescopes, which gives a lot of options for set-up, the collars lock securely, and the black powder coat finish looks very nice onstage.
The only thing I might list as a "con" with this stand is that the threads where the boom attaches to the stand and the threads on the boom for the mic clip seem to be somewhat fragile. I have not had a problem, as I simply took care when attaching the boom and clip to their respective threads. But, it good to note that such care is necessary.
I bought this stand along with the Ultimate mic clips. These are also a terrific value. I recommend buying a couple of the clips when you buy the stand.
Overall, this stand is more than one would expect for the very low price and I am very happy with it. Highly recommended!

It appears sturdy. hopfully the adjustment screws will be robust enough to permit frequent changes.
An optional boom counterbalance could be useful, particularly with older dynamics.
It only has 2 cord fasteners - needs a minimum of 6-8 for an average array!

Comments about Ultimate Support JS-MCTB200 Tripod Mic Stand with Telescoping Boom:
I use this mic stand with the Yeti THX-Certified USB Condenser Microphone, and even though the mic is quite heavy, the mic stand is still stable and secure. It's also easy to adjust. Setting it up and taking it down are fairly simple as well. From my experience, for people from 5'1" to 5'10", it worked fine, and when we were playing instruments, it was easily adjustable to a lower height.

Comments about Ultimate Support JS-MCTB200 Tripod Mic Stand with Telescoping Boom:
You've got to tighten the stand really tight for it not to slowly creep into the shot. The threads were loose as well and I'm in the process of returning the stand and getting a new one. I wish it were easier to tighten the boom pole so it doesn't float down. Otherwise it did the job and it's pretty solid for the price.

We use this for a church sound system. It works great, it can swing over from our main podium to our kids story podium with a twist of the wrist.
Only one drawback from giving it a 5 star is that the middle hinge is a bit stiff or loose, it's hard to find a middle ground with it.

I bought this product for use in my music studio. [...]The downside about this product is that getting it stand sturdy is a little difficult, the stand has to drop completely to the ground or it'll lean to the side if it's not parallel. Great product for the price, would definitely buy again.

bought two, used this with and akg c214 condenser mic, one of the legs on one of them out of the box was not at an even angle with the rest of them when fully extended but otherwise they hold everything up fine, i decided to go with these as opposed to the really expensive k&m models.. that was a mistake, if you have the money, go for it they will last a really long time.

But the stand is straight and holds a mic just fine. Good deal, but don't expect it to last a lifetime.

I bought this with a Avid recording studio as well as microphone for doing voice overs for video and record a few albums of my friends. The stand works great and holds the mic perfect. It can be a hard time to move at times, but better that than moving all over the place.

Works as advertised; it's a solid, durable stand with excellent reach with the boom arm. Collapses nicely for storage and transportation, but works great when set up.
