With the Canon WP-DC29 waterproof case for the Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS, you can use your digital camera to take underwater shots at depths of up to 130' (40m). Of course it's also ideal for taking worry-free pictures in the rain, at the beach, or on the ski slopes.
You can use your camera's internal flash for lighting purposes. Or, use the internal flash to trigger a slaved external strobe like those made by Fantasea, Sea & Sea, Ikelite, or Sealife. The camera has an underwater white balance setting for available light photography.

Comments about WP-DC29 Case for Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS:
We looked at a lot of cases before taking the plunge (ha ha) & the WP-DC29 really is a great way to get quality underwater photos at a reasonable price. All controls are intuitive and even my 7 year old had no problem working the controls underwater without explanation. Technically, I found the lens material optically clear and without distortion, well matched to the reasonable quality of Canon's SD1200 point & shoot. While the housing accepts weights, I didn't find them necessary for snorkeling. Overall, we're very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking to take photos in salt or fresh water environments.

I just came back from Cancun, Mexico. This waterproof case worked greatly with my PowerShot SD1200 IS. I had taken some photos and videos and didn't have any problems.

I have used several Canon WP cases over the years for different camera's. Diving, snorkeling, in the pool. They have never failed me and always worked as advertised.

Comments about WP-DC29 Case for Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS:
Used this for the first time last week in the Maldives. Easy to pack, super easy to use and a perfect fit for the SD1200 camera. I also purchased and added the additional weights, though this housing required only one of the four weights in the set. Depth ranged from 0-114 feet in mild to strong currents without any 0-ring issues. Cannot vouch for the quality of the 0-ring as I have only used this for approximately 20 dives so far.

Have not used the case in deep waters yet but tested it in the sink without the camera and the interior stayed completely dry. Looking forward to the full effects!

Got this as a gift for my son. Finally had a chance to take it out diving this past weekend - it worked very well! Easy to use, keeps everything dry and is not big and bulky like other products. Highly recommend this housing for underwater photography!

Comments about WP-DC29 Case for Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS:
We were reluctant to buy because of the up front cost for vacation. However it was worth every dollar. First the pictures come out great both in and out of the water. The SD1200 has an underwater setting and the quality of the photo is incredible. We will use it just to go to the beach and not get sand in the camera. I gave it 4 stars only because the icons on the clear plactic are hard to see. I am going to use a sharpee to darken.

Comments about WP-DC29 Case for Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS:
This case was the first underwater housing I have used, but it was super simple and produced great pictures. The only maintenance required between uses is soaking the case and applying silicone to the seal, and that's it! The flash diffuser didn't seem to improve flash pictures too much, but I didn't really need the flash for most pictures. All in all this was a great purchase and I would recommend this to everyone!

Comments about WP-DC29 Case for Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS:
We went scuba diving to 80ft and took our camera along with this underwater housing. It sealed up nicely and there weren't any leaking problems. The buttons were easy to use, zooming was easy, and so was switching between picture and video modes. The flash diffuser seemed to work fine - we didn't have any dark spots in the pictures. All of the pictures were very blue, even at the shallower depths, but I'm assuming that was due to the camera settings we had it on. It was easy to hold and use, but I think adding the weights to the case would be helpful - keep it from bobbing around and make it easier to find (we clipped to our BCs). We will be getting the weights for next time. All in all, it worked great and was a lot of fun to dive with - and use at the water slides!

I used this WP-DC29 Case for my Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS camera for the first time in February 2010 while snorkeling and diving in Cozumel. It worked perfectly! Used it from 5-80 feet and had no leakage. In addition, it was very easy to use. The flash diffuser worked good. Would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to take underwater photos and videos. I would like to see Canon offer a red filter attachment for this housing to improve the colors underwater even more.

Comments about WP-DC29 Case for Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS:
I have taken the case snorkeling and taking pictures while we were trying to learn how to surf. There was absolutely no leakage (so far). The pictures look great. Having all the controls at the fingertips also makes it functional as well as fun. No problems so far. Using it on my first trip since purchase.
