The Interfit Cooltubz 4 Dimmable Fluorescent Light Panel (110VAC) provides near-daylight balanced light. This fixture is cool-running, making it ideal for photographing people or food. The light emitted is flicker-free, which also makes it ideal for video applications.

Each included 55 Watt Osram Delux fluorescent tube puts out the equivalent of 220 watts of tungsten light. Dimming is achieved with the use of 2 rear panel switches which each control a pair of tubes. The advantage of switch-dimming over dial dimming, is that there is no color shift towards magenta using switches. Fixture is supplied for use with 110VAC.

Comments about Interfit Cooltubz 4 Dimmable Fluorescent Light Panel (110VAC):

Product didn't look to great in photos, not the photos fault, just looked kind of plastic like. But was very surprised at how well these are put together. Been using a couple weeks and am very pleased with these. Would definitely recommend.

And B&H, you are awesome at shipping. Everything I ever order is packaged very nice.

Comments about Interfit Cooltubz 4 Dimmable Fluorescent Light Panel (110VAC):

I have converted to 5000K fluorescent. I needed something transportable and easy to set up. And I needed a center fill for studio greenscreen. As others have mentioned, the bracket is a bit under designed for the weight of the head. But it works. You do have to center it to get the head stable. On the plus side, it is easy to move it from bottom to side when the light is used vertical.

Keep a screwdriver in the bag, I find I have to tighten the barndoor screws from time to time. They close over the bulbs and protect them during travel. It has survived many trips. I have the 6 tube verrsion on my wish list as a companion piece.

The interfit floor stand, INFLS, is a good companion and fits into the carry bag. Keep a sandbag at hand, this head required a weighted stand.

Comments about Interfit Cooltubz 4 Dimmable Fluorescent Light Panel (110VAC):

We were looking for a compliment to our Super Cool Lites that we use in the studio to round out our green screen lighting. We also needed something portable for on the fly interviews as events. This was perfect for portable quick interview fill lighting. The carrying case has room in the bottom for COR758 light stand and a couple of umbrellas. If I were to suggest anything it would be some loops on the carry bag for a larger light stand. The side pockets served for carrying cords. Depending on the situation, the ability to engage 2 or 4 lights gave us the illumination we needed.
In the studio it is perfect for center background fill and killing the shadows on the floor when we shoot workout green screen projects.

Comments about Interfit Cooltubz 4 Dimmable Fluorescent Light Panel (110VAC):

We have a small video studio for shooting interviews, product shots, etc. Kinos would be nicer, but much more expensive, so we got two of these to light the subject with soft shadows and low heat output.

The barn doors on this light were wobbly to start with, and even after tightening, they seem to droop and sag, dropping off the diffusion bag. They don't feel well-put-together.

These will not be moved much, so in the end I'm happy, but if I was doing a lot of location shoots, packing up and tearing them down repeatedly, I get the impression they would fall apart rapidly.

Comments about Interfit Cooltubz 4 Dimmable Fluorescent Light Panel (110VAC):

had it for a few days now used it on a shoot. worked great. It seems to produce about the same as a 800w soft-boxed halogen. very diffused normally - very very diffused with the soft-box cover.. the wb is 5k rather than 5.5k so it's a little warmer than sunlight. the only issue i have is the stand head is pretty weak. I'm hoping it will last.
