Comments about Interfit STR103 Strobies Globe Diffuser:
I use one on my 430 EX II and 580 EX II to soften shadows and it does a great job. I would support my Flash with some velcro.
They have fallen a few times but seem pretty resilient as they are constructed of plastic.

Comments about Interfit STR103 Strobies Globe Diffuser:
puts attention on itself, nobody pays attention to the photographer, it's easy to take a flash, persons are diverted and do not look not frightened to the camera, forgot their "photo face"

Comments about Interfit STR103 Strobies Globe Diffuser:
This Strobie Globe is a little heavy on the On-Camera-Flash, as I wanted to use it pointing at my subject not straight up. Even if one uses it pointing straight up, you might want to put some heavy duct tape on your flash to keep your flash from folding down. I wanted to use the bulb facing forward, but I noticed I would get a small circular flare image from the flash this way. Nice soft-ish light, but needs testing before use.

Comments about Interfit STR103 Strobies Globe Diffuser:
The first time I used this globe diffuser was at a charity event that I photograph every year. This event is in a huge open area that is very poorly lit. I did not exclude any shots because of poor light/exposure. The globe spreads the light better than any other diffuser I have tried (there have been many)! It was fantastic!!!! The product is much lighter than it looks and stayed securely on my flash (Nikon SB-800). It does attract a little attention--I was answering, "What is that thing on your camera?" all night long. It is my new 'go to' diffuser for everything I shoot with a flash.

Comments about Interfit STR103 Strobies Globe Diffuser:
That enormous globe softens light like a Chinese lantern. It works great for fill and and gives a great look as a main or only light source. It's just a pain to pack and carry.

Bulky. Can't pack it and go. Don't like diffusers that throw light behind you. Not impressed for the hassle factor.

Comments about Interfit STR103 Strobies Globe Diffuser:
My initial concern for this product was that it was bulky and it might break if dropped. So, of course, I dropped it on the very first day of use. But to my surprise, not only it didn't break but it didn't even manage a scratch when it hit the wooden floor and even concrete. So my only advise is one should use additional velcro to secure the Interfit Flex Mount(s). Even thought they fit very well to whatever dedicated model flash you are using. Due to it's heavier weight, it might cause the swivel to turn involuntarily such as on the SB-900s in which the swivel doesn't "lock" in all positions.
With that said, this is one my favorite product out of the entire Interfit Strobies Portrait kit. I originally purchase the whole Kit that includes the Mini Beauty Dish, Softbox, Snoot, this Globe diffuser, Barndoors, and Honeycomb but my interest was mostly drawn toward the "Globe" and the "Beauty dish". After brief experimentation, I ended up returning the whole kit and re-ordered just the Globe. Its reasonably priced at 43 including the Mount. I have been using this Globe for the last 8 weddings while reducing my 2 heavily overpriced Gary Fong Light Spheres to "backup" status. It's much larger than the Fong Spheres and provides softer and more even lighting when combined with my arsenal of D3s and D700s. It draws more attention to the crowd at first but at the same it also informs everyone just "who" and the photographer is, especially during group shots. It also works well in off-camera situations in which it can give an old world "street light" quality above all. This is perhaps not for everyone since it's a bit heavy and bulky to carry but I'm giving it 5 stars for the great construct and great light it provides. Overall, a very good value.
