Comments about Elinchrom Ranger Quadra Head S Pro Set:
As most other reviewers have said, the product is great. Quite a bit of power in an amazingly small package. Can probably handle half of the photo jobs I have.
If you can afford it and have jobs this wattage can cover, it is a no brainer.

Comments about Elinchrom Ranger Quadra Head S Pro Set:
I was using a series of Nikon SB 800's and 900's for portability reasons for my lighting sources. I do quite a bit of traveling, so this is a huge concern for me. PROBLEM SOLVED! I can not sing the praises of this lighting system enough. The units are light weight, compact and produce such AMAZING light when used with the Rotalux softboxes.
I've shot weddings recently, and outdoor editorial shoots, and I have to say that my business will never be the same! I've eliminated the use of my Pocketwizards due to the EL Skyports that come with the kit, which you can adjust your power the the .10 of a stop!
If you are at all temped to buy this lighting system....go with it...whip out the plastic and take the plunge. They are pricey, but worth every cent.

Comments about Elinchrom Ranger Quadra Head S Pro Set:
I am very pleased with my purchase of the Elinchrom Ranger Quadra 2x kit with S heads. After reading through the user manual, I've found it easy to use and quite reliable. It comes with two batteries, but I've only had to use one so far because its charge is long-lasting. The A head is two stops brighter than the B head, and this can only be changed by moving the B head closer or farther away, which is not a big deal. I've also bought some extra accessories that I'm please with, including a 11.5-foot cable, a larger reflector with a honeycomb 20-degree grid, and the 16-inch square softbox that is compatible with Ranger Quadra. Later, I will probably buy the ring adapter and a larger softbox, such as the 39-inch Octabox. I'm a little disappointed that these two things are so expensive. But overall I am very happy with the RQ. It's lightweight and readily usable in the studio or outdoors (on a dry day). Oh, by the way, I've discovered that the RQ can be triggered by a Pocket Wizard simply by plugging one into the PC socket of the unit. This was a real bonus for me, because I had already invested in four Pocket Wizards!

Nice even spread of light. I usually use a 580ex w/ pocketwizards and compared to that it was like night and day. There were no hotspots the coverage was very even. Great for group shots and wedding formals. I was able to light the couple AND the church with just one head! Great tool to have.
I just wish they used a Lithium polymer battery instead of heavy SLA. It would save a lot of weight. Also, I noticed the recycle time drops quickly after shooting at full power. Could be the strain on the battery.
