I got these a few weeks ago and am not sorry. They are easy to set up, and they pack away and hook together with a ease. I have used these stands with a fellow photographer and when I decided to buy my own stands, there was really no debating. Very strudy stand with nice wide base and great height.

Would have given 5 stars but demoted because there is a bit of a design flaw (or weakness) in the stacking mechanism. My 1st shipment f these stands came with rattling noises I suspected (and confirmed) were broken parts. Returned for a new threesome which arrived with no problems. I recommend treating the stands gently just in case.

The stands lock well and pack well. Sorry they don't come with a carrying bag.

My one warning is that the 1st shipment I received had a broken part. The part that was broken was the mechanism that locks the 3 stands together for carrying. I have a feeling that is a poorly designed and I dropped a star (I would have dropped only 1/2 star given the option).
Other than that, they're great.

A Girl (stand) that's finally taller and more sturdier than me. I love this set. The strength and stability is superior to other so call brands. I look good and feel good having these. In fact, I am putting in another order.

Sturdy, well made. Feel comfortable putting expensive pocket wizards and speedlights on them in the wind.

Only thing I find is they are a little heavy.

This is my first purchase as a serious photographer who is trying to start my own business. These stands are very very sturdy, I was surprised by this because they were not that expensive.They have a nice wide stance and grip my wooden floors nicely so when I am moving around and bump one it does not move. The adjustable height is amazing because they comfortably fit into my "studio" and travel outside well. I have not used them much outside yet but on the dry ground (cleared of course) they sat fine and the weight of my strobes do not cause them to waver even the slightest. So far I love these stands!

those alu ranker light stands are exactly what i was looking for. they are pretty high and stable, but not too bulky to carry. they are well built and easy to use.

A very well constructed light stand that works beautifully. Air-cushioning is a plus and gives an extra sense of security. Just add a strap to one stand, stack them together and carry easily.

Best stands i got! These stands are realy well made. The resist heavy load and stack nicely when you go on location. Nice Whit air cushion as well.

Genius engineering. Stands are well built, good leg span for stability, look great, and stack in a area just barely bigger than one regular stand. All other manufacturers need to create a competitive product quickly as these things will become the favorite of any photographer that travels with their equipment anytime.

I have four of these stands and anticipate buying a few more - probably some 1004BACs next time.

The stands are EXCELLENT. I'd give 'em six stars if I could.

I store, and transport, my four 1005BACs in a Manfrotto LBAG110. This bag should be regarded as a necessity. It is very inexpensive and was obviously designed for a perfect fit when loaded with FOUR Manfrotto 1005BAC stands. There's even adequate space for an umbrella or two along with the stands.

GREAT stands. I should have read more carefully - these are still pretty big when folded up - so most cases may not fit. But the stand itself is 5 stars.

Amazingly sturdy for how light they are + The fact that they stack so conveniently = Perfect general use / on location light stand.

Strong and sturdy. The way they stack together is awesome. The only downside is that they don't appear to have casters they can be used with. I'd love to have the ability to roll them around my studio or on-location instead of having to pick them up, loaded with a monolight and umbrella or softbox, in order to avoid scratching my floors. I guess I should have researched that better but I don't find on the website a comparable light stand set that DOES accept casters. But, overall, Manfrotto has offered a great product again.

I previously had the 1052 model, which where shorter and lighter. When I received these units I noticed they were heaver and thicker, and I thought uh oh, I should've ordered the other ones. But now I'm glad I didn't. They are sturdier and I feel more confident hanging heavier items on them, like a sound blanket clamped onto a t-bar. I have 6. great for almost any interview setup.
