The HP Officejet 7000 Wide Format Printer is ideal for small workgroups of three to five users in a wired network. It has built-in networking capabilities, allowing easy sharing of printing, including mixed environments of PCs and Macintosh computers. The 7000 delivers fast and versatile wide-format printing of office documents, borderless prints, and other printed pieces up to 13 x 19".
The printing system features one, specially designed, high-performing print head and four individual ink cartridges for each of the new HP black and color inks. The HP printhead is designed to deliver consistent high quality output over the life of the device without any user intervention. The individual ink cartridges deliver consistent high quality, fast color printing, exceptional value, and ease of use.
- Quick, Professional Quality Output
- Print professional-quality business documents and stunning photo-quality marketing pieces at maximum print speeds of up to 33 ppm black or 32ppm color at resolutions up to 600dpi black, and up to 4800 x 1200dpi color.
- Built-In Networking
- The HP Officejet 7000 Wide Format Printer has built-in networking capabilities, allowing easy sharing of printing on a small network, including mixed environments of PCs and Macintosh computers. The internal Ethernet adapter on the printer supports 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps Ethernet networks for fast, reliable, secure sharing of printer functions.
- Simple Controls
- A user-friendly control panel with one-touch buttons for power, a network button indicates if the printer is connected to a network, that when depressed, prints a configuration page that lists a device and events log. There are also buttons for simple cancel and resume functions, plus an LED panel indicating ink cartridge status, keeping production flowing with little effort.
- Advanced Ink-Delivery Technology
- The Officejet 7000 employs dual-drop-volume technology that ensures delivery of finely detailed images and graphics, up to 4800 x 1200-optimized dpi. Half-toning process enables smooth gradations and outstanding color accuracy. In dual-drop-volume printing, the ink cartridges contain specially formulated full-dye load color inks that are fired onto the page in different ink droplet volumes. The printer determines the combination of ink droplets to provide optimal print quality and speed.
- Border, Booklet and Poster Printing
- With the Officejet 7000 users can enjoy the flexibility of printing photos, brochures, and other marketing material with or without borders for a truly professional product via the included print drivers. The Booklet Layout feature automatically arranges and resizes the pages of a document so that when the document is folded into a booklet, the page order is correct. The Poster Printing feature lets you take a one-page document and enlarge it up to 25 times on several printed sheets. Simply assemble the sheets to form a large billboard or poster for the perfect high impact effect.

- The Officejet 7000 handles a wide variety of media, expanding the creative possibilities for printed documents. The printer will support printing on plain paper, such as inkjet and photo papers, envelopes, transparencies, index and greeting cards.

As a design student, I sometimes need to print line drawings and plans in 11x17 and this printer does a great job. If I needed to print photo quality, I might have opted for a more expensive printer. Ethernet connectivity is a great and it was easy to set up. I have it plugged into my wireless router and it works great. Also, the four individual ink cartridges mean I don't have to throw out a half full color cartridge when I use up the cyan.

Apart from the great price, this printer is somewhat of a let-down. My Epson Workforce 1100 broke and so I bought this to replace it. I found that the print quality overall was worse. When printing from Acrobat Pro it's "normal" setting is not much different from the "best" setting. It seems like the machine just likes pumping out ink. Overall, I'm not too happy with this printer.

Apart from the great price, this printer is somewhat of a let-down. My Epson Workforce 1100 broke and so I bought this to replace it. I found that the print quality overall was worse. When printing from Acrobat Pro it's "normal" setting is not much different from the "best" setting. It seems like the machine just likes pumping out ink. Overall, I'm not too happy with this printer.

Yes I'm glad I stick to my guns and bought it despite the soso reviews on the net. It is my third printer and I bought it to print those sizes that ordinary printers don't print. My wife is a scrapbooking 'nut' and it is perfect for that also. Sizes like sizes 11 x 17, 12 x 12 even 13 x 'X' are no problem so far.
Ferthermore, I got a great deal on it.

I am a Architect and HP has been my printer source for 20 years. After a hard search to replace my failing HP 1700 there was only one wide format printer from any mfg that had the features needed. The HP 7000 Quick bright output on any medium and paper weight and the Vivera inks are quick dry and stable too. Just install the nozzle set, the ink cartridges and connect to the computer and HP on the web will do the driver and utilities install without complaint. 'Bingo' your are ready to go. Affordable and a very slick piece of equipment. About 30 days of use and no problems. dtr Architect
