For me, I work as a graphic/web designer 8-10 hours a day on this laptop. The anti-glare screen really makes it a pleasure to work on... Its just as bright as all the other ones, yet without any reflection. Your eyes focus instantly on the screen without needing to look through the glare.
This machine is also very fast, with 4GB ram, and handles everything I've thrown at it so far pretty well.
The only cons, which you can get past easily, is that it gets quite warm when working on it... At first I thought there was something wrong, but that's actually normal for it.
Another con, which I have now got used to, is the sharp edges. When you're typing, your fore-arms are resting on quite a sharp edge. I'm used to it now, and its no longer a problem.
Other wise, best laptop I've ever had!

I've been a PC user since the mid 1980s but lately all my friends had been raving about their desktop and laptop Macs. So, I bought a Macbook Pro after my old Sony began breaking down. I guess I was primed for a glorious, trouble-free experience. However I find that my new Macbook Pro seems to hang and freeze up almost as often as the PC laptop I am replacing. I am seeing that swirling rainbow disk stay on my screen for way too many minutes. My primary use of this computer is for web site development and perhaps my wireless broadband device creates some of the problems. I do like the look and feel, the fact that it is quiet and cool to the touch, the touch pad and keyboard are very nice. It's supposed to have very long battery life but I've not tested that yet. I am very disappointed that Apple does not make an auto cigarette lighter power adapter. Just selling one for airplanes doesn't help those of us that need 12v power every now and then. Third party products exist but I'm reluctant to buy something Apple doesn't "sanction."

Use this machine for graphic design, music editing, and multitasking, in addition to the all around every day emailing, word processing and web browsing. The OS and operating system is so easy to use, even if you're coming over from Windows. Highly HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this / any Apple Macbook Laptop. This was such a good deal as well!

Apple has outdone itself with this box. I haven't used a Mac for years and it was just like riding a bike.
Everything is SO EASY. Adding hardware, software, hardware detection - this Mac just does it.
It IS a little heavy for a laptop, but that's what I get for the larger monitor. Otherwise it is thin, powerful, and FUN.
Even Microsoft Office works better on the MacBook Pro.
I highly recommend it!

We use the computer any where in the house for mail and google search mostly and iPhoto for organizing some 4000 photos. Photo mgt. is easy with the event separation and recognition feature that separated similar faces or scenes.
We both like the back lit keyboard that has a very comfortable, soft yet positive feel.
The computer is heavier to carry than expected.

Yes, it's pricey but it is the best I've ever owned. Great display, sturdy construction, speed, much cooler than old MacBook, lit keyboard, smart touchpad, and a great battery make it worth the $$ for me. Snow Leopard is a great OS. I think it was made for Photoshop.

I am a videographer/editor/graphic designer and this Mac has served me well without hiccups, the matte screen really helps and is a must for video editors spending hours of time. the battery can run up to 7 hours if fully charged. I only wish that apple will add more firewire 800 ports on it.
