Needed Windows for work, a laptop for travel, and this came with Parallels, a bigger drive, nonglare screen (which I liked from the, um, Store), and I ordered extra memory (always fill em up, folks). Very easy to set up and load an old copy of XP and install MS Office and CS4 with Acrobat 7.1 Pro (the last version without lots of C-student problems). No fuss, no muss, no crashes, no freezes. Speed is adequate. About 3 hours on the battery with the discrete 512 mb graphics engaged. Bottom left of the machine gets so hot you could turn the thing over and cook eggs. The first week, this machine produced text and graphics (lots of GIS maps) for 5 documents that went to the printer at an average per of about 300 mb. So it got the job done. I challenge computers in ways most people can't even imagine, and so far, I don't think I've reached anywhere near the ceiling on this one. B&H, like always, delivered what they advertised.

I am running my pc-based business software on Parallels on my mac book pro, and am thrilled to find that this is working well. I am still working on getting the transitions to feel more seamless, but I believe this will come with my own experience! I am converted!!!
