A professional size 4-section carbon fiber model, the Benro MC-91EX Monopod can officially support gear of up to 39.6 lbs (18kg) and is recommended for even the largest SLR cameras with very big telephoto lenses, such as a 300mm f/2.8 lens. It has a foam-padded grip with a built-in wrist strap. Like any carbon fiber monopod, its capacity to absorb vibration is superior to an otherwise-identical aluminum version.
The MC-91EX's flip-lever leg locks are of the newest technology, and provide reliable and fast use with just a small motion necessary. Benro also has developed a "QIHM-8X" carbon fiber tube that's very thin and exclusively made from carbon fiber material. Along with extensive use of magnesium in the castings, it allows the MC-91EX to weigh just over one pound. The camera screw is reversible for both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 applications

Comments about Benro MC-91EX Carbon Fiber Monopod:
Excellent monopod for its cost and features. Very lightweight. Only have it a few weeks but it is proving durable. Priced them all; felt/played with them all in the store. The quick release feature for the locking mechanism is tight, no slippage. No need to spend up to double or triple on another brand. So far, so good.

Comments about Benro MC-91EX Carbon Fiber Monopod:
I use this product at weddings in conjunction with a custom bracket with my D300 and SB900. I also use it when I'm taking portraits on rough terrain and sea jetty's where a tripod isn't feasible. Woks great when I'm using the Nikkor 80-400 VR zoom. I would definitely buy this product again. Good and strong.

Comments about Benro MC-91EX Carbon Fiber Monopod:
I was looking for a light weight but well made monopod[...] I liked the clamps on the legs much better than the twists, believing them to be much faster and more secure. This monopod is remarkably similar to the Manfrotto in terms of fit and finish. Certainly it is a great bargain for the price.Fit and finish are quite good, and the thing is certainly as light as can be, but is very, very sturdy.Well worth a good look.

I bought the Benro Carbon fiber tripod earlier this year and love it. Since I am planning a trip, I know I need a good monopod. Again I purchased Benro. The monopod is sturdy and lightweight. Super product.

Comments about Benro MC-91EX Carbon Fiber Monopod:
Got this monopod to take night pictures of baseball games without the shake of holding a large camera. It worked well, kept the arms from getting tired and helped me get around with a bum knee. A solid monopod and talking to other photographers they liked them also, if they were paying and not the company.

Comments about Benro MC-91EX Carbon Fiber Monopod:
This is a basically a knock-off of a similar Manfrotto model that costs more. It has the same type of flip-lever releases on the leg sections, although Manfrotto's have just a bit more of a solid feel. It comes with a tool for adjusting the tension of the flip releases, although it was fine out of the box. It has a reversible 1/4" - 3/8" threaded mount. It collapses down to a length that will fit into a standard roll-on suitcase.
The carbon fiber tubes that telescope together have a larger overall diameter than I expects, but the monopod is very solid as a result. I put a Kirk swivel head mount and quick relase clamp (avail. from B&H) on this an it handles very well.

Comments about Benro MC-91EX Carbon Fiber Monopod:
This monopod has been used with a nikon D-300 and a 80 to 200 mm nikon lense. The camera/lense is quite heavy, the MC-91EX Carbon Fiber Monopod holds it up with no problems. It is easy to use and doubles as a walking stick when hiking to get wild life photos.
