Comments about ASUS WL-330gE Wireless Access Point:
This is by far the easiest WIFI network access port in the world ! It has two power options, one is power thru the USB port and the other is a power adapter. I used the USB port for power, this way the system power down with the device you are hooking up to WIFI. I used it to hook my Sony Blu-ray via lan port to WIFI access through my DSL connection. I took less than 10 minutes to get it up and running !! I would recommend the WL-330gE Wireless Access Point by Asus to anybody who needs remotes access via WIFI. I have three of these up and running and on line ! I give it a 10 out 10 rating !!! A+++++++

Comments about ASUS WL-330gE Wireless Access Point:
This is perfect. Lightweight, USB powered for laptops. Works great for bridging for government laptops that do not permit direct WiFi connections. Signal strength is great. This is basically a WiFi Multitool - so much power in a small, versitile, lightweight package.

Comments about ASUS WL-330gE Wireless Access Point:
I bought this for my mom - she's 68 and I just gave her my old laptop so she can video-call me (She's in Niagara Falls, I'm in Seattle) and check the obituaries online. :) The next-door neighbours offered her a connection to their network (since she'll barely be online anyway), but the houses are both brick and the only place to get their signal in mom's house in through the kitchen window on the counter beside the sink. Not the best place for a laptop.
Enter the WL-330gE - EASY to set up as a network repeater, and small enough to hang in the window without being in the way. Now Mommy can surf anywhere in the house!
I tested the device as a wireless adapter for our network printer before I gave it to Mom - worked like a charm as well!
HIGHLY recommended - inexpensive and works great!

Comments about ASUS WL-330gE Wireless Access Point:
If you're looking for a home Wifi device, move on - although this could probably do it, that's not what it's designed for.
What it IS designed for is allowing you to do things like setup a wifi hotspot in a hotel room that only has wired internet, and/or allow multiple people to share a single connection without having to pay for each computer connected as you normally would.
Where it really shines is that you can also connect it to one wifi network, and then share it out again as a second network - again allowing multiple people to use it for the price of one in a paid hotspot.
I've used it multiple times, and it works great. The basic web configuration interface is a bit basic, but the advanced mode allows you to do everything I've needed and much more.
Can be powered off USB - either from a computer or via a USB plug-pack, which means you can leave it's own power supply at home if you want.

Comments about ASUS WL-330gE Wireless Access Point:
Adapter Mode: Works, but just barely. This is the slowest Ethernet adapter I've ever owned.
Repeater Mode: I spent 3 hours trying to get repeater mode to work with no luck.
If that isn't enough, the configuration web pages on 192.168.1.220 are incredibly slow.
This piece of junk should be removed from the market.
