Comments about Lowepro Pro Trekker 600 AW Backpack:
This bag holds everything I use - Mamiya RZ Pro II with 3 lenses, 2 Nikon Speedlites, 2 Nikon D700's and 3 Nikon Pro lenses. Also can carry all a tripod and 3 light stands, or a derivative of that.
Its very well constructed and would handle almost anything mother nature flings at you. Certainly a pack worth considering for nature photographers. Includes so many really useful add ons and features, like the add-on bag that either attaches to the top of the bag or can used as a waist pack. The huge amount of adjustments of straps for support and holding items in place. Best of all, it has an seemingly endless supply of places to put STUFF.

A great big bag to carry a bunch of gear. It is way bigger than it looks. As I shoot video and stills at the same time, I love it. If you only shot stills or video, I'd go with a smaller version.
A super well-made bag.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Trekker 600 AW Backpack:
I have owned and used many LowePro backpacks over the years. I tend to like the older AW Pro model over the new one. I find that accessing equipment (with all parts attached) more cumbersome and the overall interior size (with that big interior conical hump at one end) less than expected and, because of the hump, utilizing the space at that end is somewhat more difficult. It is somewhat lighter than the old style packs and the built in hydration support is useful (although I did almost exactly the same thing with one of the large side pouches on my old pack). The zippers also seem a little stiff - I will try some silicon spray on them and see if that helps; I'm worried about whether the rubber pull rings will stand up to use over many years (like my old pack has). I am not replacing my old pack - this is for a new camera system and will continue to use both depending on the system I want to use. I found that rearranging the internal dividers to provide for large format equipment to be somewhat problematic. I liked the larger pocket space on the flip-up part of the old bag - these pocket are all a little smaller and restrict the size of items that I can include (e.g., plasticized reciprocity cheat sheets, etc.). They do fit in the top part of the bag though - which means it is effectively not detachable for my purposes. This is definitely not a carry-on size bag based on current TSA size restrictions. But overall a good bag with the quality that I've come to expect from LowePro.

Lightweight and lots of room. Lots of pockets and room for all your gear. With all my lenses, flashes and my camera it still feels light. Would recomend for anyone, even if you don't go out backpacking/hiking.

I am a amateur photographer , wildlife and now family pics are my forte I had questions about needing a bag this large ,with my lights a d300,D5000 , batteries ,6 lenses and filters etc.....I now know i made the right decision . comfortable and stands up on it's own even fully loaded. Makes a serious load easy to carry to chase waterfalls through North Ga.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Trekker 600 AW Backpack:
This pack was a bit too big for what I needed it for. I returned to B & H for the 400 AW. The 400 AW is just right for me. My Nikon D300s with the Nikon 500mm VR lens attached will fit (w/ the hood reversed) plus extra lenes. However, the 600 AW is great pack for those who need to carry a lot of stuff.

Great for air travel. Able to pack all of my gear in a carry-on bag. Be sure to pack a smaller bag for planned day trips. Fully loaded this bag weighs in between 50 & 60 lbs. My Tamrac bag just wasn't big enough. I pack the Krumpler for the day trips.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Trekker 600 AW Backpack:
You want BIG? This bag is it. You could put the kitchen sink into it if you wanted. If you did, there would still be room for plenty of camera gear. The main limit to what you could load into this bag is related to weight. In fact, if you don't have a sherpa, you'll want to make sure you ate your wheaties before embarking on a photo trek.
This is a great bag. I bought it for my new supertelephoto outfit, and it is perfect for that purpose. Now, I'm in the market for that sherpa....

Comments about Lowepro Pro Trekker 600 AW Backpack:
There is so much space in this pack I just love it. This pack has enough room for my 5d MarkII, my XH-A1s, HV-20, lenses, and more.
I particularly love the rain cover that comes built in to the bag. Not having to worry about my gear getting wet is a big relief.
The only con to this pack is that it only fits small and small-medium sized tripods. I have a Manfrotto 745xB and it just won't fit inside the tripod pocket. I have to strap it to the outside.
Other than that everything else is fantastic. It's sturdy and well made.
