Overall this is a great product. It loaded easily on my macbook and my PC. The little red tab on the side functions as a holder for the stylus. My only complaint is that Wacom should have a hole or indentation for the pen to rest on at the top, like a pen holder on your desk, because if I don't carefully place my stylus back in the little red side tab, it's easy to loose the stylus.
It takes a little getting used to at first, but it is a great tool. I'm still getting used to the pressure sensitivity feature in Photoshop for the tools like cloning and brushes.
If you can afford the next one up with the programmable shortcut buttons on the actual pad, I would suggest getting that one. I'm finding it would be great to have the undo button at my finger tips or the delete button, or the alt button, rather than having to reach for the keyboard each time.
Great tool to have, and soooo much more ergonomic than a mouse. That was one of the main reasons I got it, to make hours of editing easier on my arm and shoulder. It has really done the trick.

This is my first tablet. I use it with a macbook pro. The pen tracks nicely but I find myself swiping the tablet with my fingers since I'm used to the trackpad on the macbook pro. If the Pen & Touch version works the way a macbook pro trackpad does, then I kinda wish I'd spent the extra money to get the pen & touch instead of just getting the pen version. I can see how that would really aid in my efficiency.
So far, I've only used it to do touch up work in Photoshop. I have no problem with the size. Plus, it's great for portability.

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Pen Digital Tablet:
Tablets are difficult to get used to if you've never used one before. I've just set my mouse aside and used only the tablet for about a week and I'm becoming much more efficient with it. This particular model works well. I have no experience with other brands/models to compare it, but I don't have any major complaints. The active area seems plenty big. I'm not sure I'd really want it much bigger to be honest. I already have to move my arm around more than with a mouse. The only thing I would probably change is the position of the buttons on the pen. I wish they were a little closer to the tip. (But just a little. Maybe a 1/4") Not a big deal. The pen buttons do not act the same in all applications. I use GIMP and Inkscape, and the panning functions are a bit different than the standard click and drag that you do in other applications. Just something I'll have to get used to.

This is great for using with a laptops and traveling.
It works great, especially for the price. It is a bit small if you have a larger screen than a laptop and very much so if you have more than 1 screen. But it does its job.

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Pen Digital Tablet:
Great product, but for how large the screen size is, the caseing could be a bit smaller for easy travel, and to just fit on a desk easier.

I use the bamboo pen tablet to create detailed masks, when doing photo editing. The pen is easy to use, and the learning curve is minimal. It just takes a bit of practice to master the trick of "drawing blind" (watching the screen instead of the motions your hand is making)

I use this to edit with Final Cut Pro, a lot of pro editors told me that it's great to edit.
It took me a little time to get use to it, but now I would never use a mouse again...
Having a 27 Inch Imac this tablet is maybe a little small, it's ideal for a 15 Inch screen.
This speeded up my workflow a lot!
I'm also planning to bring it with my laptop abroad since it's nice and small.

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Pen Digital Tablet:
I use this for photo editing and graphic design in photoshop. It saves hours when editing for long periods of time. Although it does take a little bit of getting used to, there is no comparison between this and a traditional mouse. It's also really cheap. The bundled software is somewhat slow and made for beginners, but it still works. I probably won't be using it. Speed, acceleration, and many other settings are fully adjustable after installing the software. The software is good because it doesn't run heavily on the computer and it's easy to use. My only complaint is that the drawing area is a little small. Maybe that just takes some getting used to.

I am an amateur photographer. I needed something to pinpoint my changes in photo-shop. I use the pen now everyday and it is comfortable. The pen and tablet react very well with each other. It does need some getting used to though.

You would never imagine!! I bought this as a surprise for my husband and his son sent him the same one a few days later! It is amazing and perfect for small places-spaces and drawings! Smooth and wonderful! This entire line is great!
Only bad thing is we don't have one for all our friends!

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Pen Digital Tablet:
For the price of this tablet, can't be beat. I saw the Intuis tablets used in some on-line Photoshop training- all the experts use the Intuis. As a beginner, I couldn't justify the price of the Intuis model- but the Bamboo fit the bill perfectly. It gives you a pressure sensitive pen and allows you to build you tablet skills without breaking the bank. Between the tablet, mouse, and buil-in laptop touch pad, I have the best of each world. While the drawing area is on the small side, the tablet is small enough to go along with the laptop when I travel. On vacation, I can edit photos in my down-time and come home with finished photos.

i'm a photographer and this is very nice to use with photoshop, but also i bought it for a 12 years old girl, she loves to draw and told me that this size is perfect. maybe i would prefer the version with pen and touch, but i was on a small budget, and it works fine for what we want.

I use the product to paint in Photoshop, I love the fact that its pressure sensitive. THe brush strokes are fluid and match the amount of pressure that is applied. I prefer the smaller tablet because my hand can cover the area of the monitor without picking my hand up. FAST!!!!

I recently purchased a mac laptop, and was very unhappy with using the touch pad. I tried a small trackball, but not great. Since I use a Wacom tablet with my desktop I decided to try the Bamboo. It works great! Now I am enjoying using my laptop.

I bought this tablet to upgrade a larger, old version I had and I use it with Photoshop and Illustrator. I love the small size and light weight. The pen works well without problems. It took getting used to the small drawing area, but it becomes easy after some practice. I recommend this size if you are planning to travel or carry it around a lot, and I'll always recommend Wacom.
