The VPC-FH1ABK Dual Camera Xacti Camcorder (Black) from Sanyo is a full 1920 x 1080p HD camera that's also compatible with Apple's iFrame video format. iFrame (960 x 540/30fps) is specially designed for editing your video in iMovie '09. However, it makes editing on a PC or Mac a breeze thanks to its compatibility with applications that support the H.264 format. With iFrame the video in your camera is the same format you'll edit, and you'll be able to share your movies right away across multiple platforms and devices.
Aside from providing you with uncomplicated editing and sharing, the FH1A features flash memory recording with SD/SDHC memory cards (not included) up to 32GB. It also captures 8MP digital stills, allowing you to leave your dedicated still camera at home. Other features include a rotating 3 inch LCD display, super-fast start-up capabilities, and simultaneous video and photo capture. There's also 16x Advanced Optical Zoom for capturing far-off video subjects, 10x Optical Zoom for still subjects, Face Chaser, and slow motion recording capabilities up to 600fps. In addition, Three-Dimensional Noise Reduction improves video clarity, while the digital image stabilizer compensates for unintentional camera shake.
And when it comes time to share your videos, aside from quick upload and sharing on the Internet, the FH1A also provides easy transfer to iTunes for storage on your iPod. The camera also features an HDMI output for one cable connection to your HDTV or DVD recorder. - Sanyo's Three-Dimensional Noise Reduction (3D-DNR) improves video clarity by reducing random signal noise. This improvement in bit rate allocation results in a more accurate video image

- The Digital Image Stabilizer of the FH1A compensates for up-and-down or side-to-side camera movement, keeping your subject steady and easy to follow. It distinguishes between unintentional camera shake and deliberate camera movement

- When the FH1A is powered on, closing the LCD display puts it in standby mode. When you open the display the FH1A automatically powers up and begin recording in as little as 1.7 seconds

- The DB-L50 high capacity battery works with the FH1A to deliver approximately 135 minutes of video record time. The DB-L50 is designed to resist memory accumulation so it provides a full charge every time
- Easy Playback on HDTV
- The FH1A camera features an HDMI output which makes connecting it to your HDTV or DVD recorder a snap. The FH1A can also be easily connected to a computer to back-up copies of recorded content. Still images and video clips are played back continuously and in chronological order. When connected to a computer, simple drag-and-drop operation makes it easy to save recorded video clips and still images onto a computer's hard disk for emailing, editing, or archiving
