The binoculars meet my non-expert expectations in terms of image brightness and clarity. Sole reason for not giving them the highest rating is the lens caps. Difficult to understand why Nikon would deploy cheap caps with such a nice product. They're thin and flexible, do not stay attached to the neck strap and are prone to getting lost.
