JVC's standard definition GZ-MS230 Everio S Flash Memory Camera (Black) is a budget-friendly camcorder with a sampling of user-friendly functions. The GZ-MS230 records to either an 8GB internal flash memory or to optional SD/SDHC memory cards up to 32GB in capacity. The heart of the camera is the 1/6" CCD image sensor, which is helped along by JVC's Super LoLux for enhanced image capture in low light situations. Other key components include a Konica Minolta lens, the Advanced Image Stabilizer, 45x Dynamic zoom, and a Laser Touch Operation LCD display. User-friendly extras include an Auto Illumi. video light, a 2-way grip belt, a manual lens cover, and an A/V output. You'll also benefit from Auto REC, Time-Lapse REC, and the Everio MediaBrowser editing software.

- Record your footage to either the built-in 8GB flash memory, which can hold up to 9 hours and 50 minutes of video, or to optional SD/SDHC memory cards for up to 40 hours of video storage (32GB card)

- The 1/6" CCD image sensor helps to capture brilliant standard definition footage to the camcorder
- Laser Touch Operation LCD
- The Laser Touch LCD features a touch-sensitive scroll bar and buttons for smooth operation. It allows for zooming and recording using either the Laser Touch or standard zoom lever, and REC button. Browsing through indexes and menu selections is easy, and since you don't touch the LCD screen itself, you can keep the display clean and fingerprint-free
- Konica Minolta Lens with 45x Dynamic Zoom
- The Konica Minolta lens captures your footage with clarity, while providing 45x Dynamic zoom for capturing far off subjects, without experiencing a loss in image quality
- Advanced Image Stabilizer
- Advanced Image Stabilizer expands the effective area at wide angle to 4 times that of 2009 models, delivering powerful compensation for camera shake. You can enjoy stable results even if you're trotting alongside your subject 1
- Super LoLux
- Low light performance is one of the key factors for quality video. Everio's Super LoLux ensures superior sensitivity to low light. In order to provide this standard definition models offer a large 1/6" high-sensitivity CCD. The result is clear images with precise colors, even in low light
- Auto REC
- With Auto REC when a subject enters the detecting area, and the luminance changes, recording starts automatically. Recording continues as long as there is movement within the area and automatically stops after 5 seconds of no movement. You can use it like a surveillance camera, or to capture hard to get scenes, like wildlife
- Time-Lapse REC
- Time-Lapse REC records one frame at a time at set intervals (1-80sec). You can watch an hour's worth of movement in just a short amount of time upon playback
- 2-Way Grip Belt
- This detachable strap is designed to work as a grip belt when shooting and as a hand strap when carrying
- Everio MediaBrowser
- Everio MediaBrowser software provides file playback, management, and simple sharing functions. To make it easy to find your footage the software's calendar type graphical user interface displays thumbnail images of your recordings, superimposed on the date they were taken
