Comments about JVC GZ-MG750 Everio Hard Drive Camera:
I bought this camera for the positive reviews & low light capability. It's pretty good for the price range & does work decently in low light situations. The zoom is good & mostly optical and the white balance is pretty good (though I have yet to figure out how to manually set white balance). It outputs to a proprietary format, but it's just MPG with another file extension & if you change it to MPG you can open it up in your favorite video editing program.
I'd love a camera that didn't produce interlaced output or the 0.9 pixel compression for DVD though since I'm producing for PC/internet viewing. It takes a bit of fiddling in my video editing programs to get what I want & I'd prefer it to support non-interlaced square pixels natively. So my search for a perfect camera continues- still this is a perfectly good camera, better than other stuff in this range, just not "straight to internet" as much as I'd like.

Comments about JVC GZ-MG750 Everio Hard Drive Camera:
This is a great litle camera. It is very convenient to carry around. The picture quality is surprisingly very good. Taking pictures is quite easy to do. There are very few steps to take a picture. The audio quality is OK. For the money, it is hard to beat this camera. It is a fun casmera to use. We were able to take pictures in a very short time after taking the camera out of the box, which in this day and age of complexity is a good thing. The only downside is the software contained in the camera. We are having difficulty editing the video. JVC could not help us out, we had to call the software manufacturer to get some assistance. We are still struggling with the editing process.

I brought this camcorder to record Church Services for the most part and am very pleased with the picture and sound. Only thing I think that needs to be improved on is the battery life. Now I just need to learn how to break down large files so I can put my vids on Youtube. :)

Nice, easy to use, good quality picture and I like the easy to use PC hardware that comes with it. Our group uses this camera mainly for our baseball program taping our hitters/pitchers and it works very well in slow motion replay.

Comments about JVC GZ-MG750 Everio Hard Drive Camera:
The JVC GZ-MG750 is an excellent camcorder for beginners and casual photographers. I bought this camcorder about three weeks ago and it has been a great device since. The JVC camcorder offers two modes: the recording and snapshot. Although there are two modes, these modes offer great effects such as, snapshot during recording, light (auto, manual, off), edits, and etc. However the camera lacks HD quality under dark surroundings and low light. The flash on the camcorder is magnificent, yet weak. There is also no image stabilization which is a disappointment. Another disappointment is the manual lens open and close switch. When I first got this, I thought it was broken because the screen said, "Check lens." I realized there was a switch. If they plan to upgrade this camcorder they should really open the lens automatically. The camcorder is not as great as the Canon Vixia HF200, but it still has most of the main and necessary functions. One great, small function about this camera that I like is the laser scroll. It is much easier and faster for me to locate my photos or videos. It's like using a blackberry on a camcorder. I love this camcorder and it was worth every penny. So if you guys are thinking about buying this camera, I absolutely recommend you, especially if you are a beginner. This is truly: Excellence made simple.

The camera has small internal memory but takes SD cards. I've never ran out of the internal memory. The only negative is that I have to convert the camera files to input into editing programs. [...]. I'll definitely be coming back again.

Merits:
* Good Camcorder, good for the low price.
* This is not a High Definition Camcorder.
* Lots of Harddrive space, good caual camcorder.
* Small & Compact, light weight, easy to use.
* Easy to upload to utube.
Demerits:
* No view finder like in my old mini dv camcorder. Have to use the LCD to view.
* The LCD panel does not rotate beyond certain angle liek 90 degrees.
* Lens cover can only be opened/closed manually. Not really a bad thing.
* To charge the battery, the camcorder needs to be attached to the battery while charging.
* Software for editing is basic but easy to learn.
* Short battery life
-------------------------------------
Why I bought this camera?
* Budget for the camcorder was low.
* Not ready for a High Definition Camcorder becoz feel the HD tech is still new and the compression formats to store on computer or external hard drive still occupies lots of space.
* To buy HD Camcorder means I would have to upgrade my Pentium 3 Computer. Was not ready for it yet.
* Wanted a amateaur camera for casual purpose.

Comments about JVC GZ-MG750 Everio Hard Drive Camera:
I like the quality of the camera and I think the batterie is find for small events... I just like this camera when I use it for household moments.
On the other hand a do NOT like the fact that this camera encodes it's videos in a format that is not normally readable by Mac of Linux! You have to loose some of the quality if you want to edit it or have sound! That is why I gave it 4 stars.
