The Velbon PHD-31Q 3-Way Panhead is constructed of aluminum alloy that makes it perfect for cameras, binoculars and scopes. It is equipped with a quick release that fits on the head easily and allows you to put the camera or other devices on the head reliably and quickly.
The quick release consists of a removable quick-release plate which can be locked into the tripod socket of your camera and left in place. This allows (via a locking-lever on the tripod head) rapid attachment of your camera and detachment from the tripod when required.
