The camera allows you to create a stylized look for your photos with Creative Art Filters. Use the Panorama mode to create one large image when you reach the top of the mountain. If you need to capture moving subjects, such as on the ski slopes, kayaking, or your child's birthday party, the camera shoots quality movies with a touch of just one button. You can store all of your images on the internal 1GB memory, or use SD/ SDHC media cards to better interface with computers, digital picture frames, and HDTVs.

In two months this camera has been in clean water, muddy creek water, survived a few dog baths and even an overturned canoe and it's still just as great as the day I got it! Of course, as with any Waterproof camera, there is always a slight loss of image quality but it is to be expected and is not significant. Having a camera that you can take ANYWHERE is completely worth every penny I spent. Excellent choice, couldn't be happier.

That's how straight forward this camera is. We got this for our 10 year old daughter, who will use it while she is snorkelling. It passed the watertight test and after 20 minutes with no manual she was using the menu, camera and video capabilities. So ease of use is great.
Battery life is low if taking videos.
I have a concern that the buttons are rubberized and she often uses her nail to push them. They could wear out.
The other really odd thing is that the battery has to be charged while still in the camera. In conditions we might be using it (sand and water nearby) leaving the side of the camera with the memory card and battery compartments exposed could lead to problems. Maybe there is a battery charger for Olympus, that allows you to remove the battery and charge it separately, so you could use the camera with a backup battery while the other one charged?

I am an avid outdoorswomen...I enjoy hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and hiking/camping.
So far it has been great. Lightweight, great pictures, and user friendly.
Durable -- waterproof and works well in colder temperatures (performs in upstate NY worst winter conditions)
I don't like that you have to change the camera setting prior to taking picture or camera shake is evident.
Best price found on bhphotovideo.com and was recommended to me by a professional photographer.

it is a nice camera, takes nice pictures however while at a darker indoor wedding they didnt turn out so great but it was also a few days after I got the camera so I might just not have had the settings right. I did take some underwater pictures and the camera still works! I was nervous but it was pretty neat. the battery life seems low though.
