Once the rig is setup, you'll realize that it has balance issues.
If you're left-eyed, right-shouldered, and FF with your left hand, the rig isn't going to balance for you at all.. You may need to buy upgraded balance cheeseplate thing.
If you are left-eyed, right-shouldered and FF with your right hand, it's a bit easier, but still has balance issues.
BTW, the handle slips a bit, but nothing to really gripe about.
On the plus side, the follow focus is really nice, I've heard about FFs on the market having some play, but with my ZE lenses and this rig w/5DII the FF doesn't have any play at all period.
Add a few extras, and you can make tons of great kits!

The rig feels robust and the make is good. The overall feeling is quality but I have some thoughts concerning the balance using the proposed setup:
Mounted like you can see on the picture, the rig is very left side heavy (as you can expect from the position of the camera) and it gets very annoying in-between shots.
During the shot it's generaly sort of ok since you'll probably do the focusing yourself and hold some of the weight with your left hand but if you delegate the focus pulling to an assistant you should definitely get a second handle to hold the system with both hands.
If I can spare a trick: rather than using both counter weights on the back of the rig, I screwed one of them on top of the shoulder element and oriented it to the right side of the rig, to counter balance part of the left side weight

An erector set for videographers. The more you use it the more add ons you'll probably want, but "they have a part for that". Their techs are good at helping you figure out tricky configuration challenges. Love it.

Comments about Redrock Micro eyeSpy Deluxe Bundle DSLR Rig:
I first bought the eyeSpy Deluxe Bundle DSLR Rig by Redrock Micro for a commercial shoot and I must say that the rig was solid. I found that that the weight has to be put on the outside (opposite to the camera) to obtain a better balance. I am not sure if it was the rig i bought or if it comes like that but the follow focus had a tremendous lag and after a while it became annoying. I would recommend this rig but with the new "Blue" follow focus.

Kit is very useful, and the extra battery allows for several days of shooting with the 7D. However, be careful with the threads on the bottom of the shoulder mount. Screws can easily start re-threading at an angle.

I do a lot of broadcast ENG type shooting and I am used to holding my HPX500 with one hand in the zoom rocker and the other on the lens for focus. I decided to try and remove my hands completely from my DSLR body, so I went with the follow focus. It's a great setup that feels familiar shooting on, and once my eye is in the Hoodman, it feels almost the same.
I did get the microbalance plus piece to make my weight vertical, and i find that it adds a little more counter pull because of the orientation of the weights. I also like that I can move the weight to the right of my shoulder to counter the weight of the camera on the far left. Overall I love the unit, and I now use a follow focus when shooting on my HPX500 because I love that ergonomic even more now.

I love this rig and didn't want to pay $1,900 for the other rig before getting comfortable with the rig. I would say it's probably best to pay the additional money for the battery pack bundle because in the future it would be very helpful.
I went a few days after purchase and picked up the 2nd hand grip and the Handle bar for those low tracking shots and now the rig is perfect for what I want.
Before buying this rig I read review and I'm seriously questioning the intelligence of the individuals that stated assembly was difficult. I put the whole rig together within 20min.
great rig and only reason I didn't give it 5 stars because I know you will eventually want to Add on

Comments about Redrock Micro eyeSpy Deluxe Bundle DSLR Rig:
I have only used the rig a few times so far. But, I do have a few thoughts on it.
* It is very heavy.
* The handles on it keep twisting, no matter how many times I tighten them.
* I think maybe this rig was built for a man, with broad shoulders, and perhaps it is tougher on a woman.
* The instructions for assembly are poorly written, and the company seems too cheap to print out explicit directions for each model.... so you have to try and figure out, repeatedly, what instructions apply to the specific style you have bought.
* The company has video tutorials on how to assemble, but, they too, leave out important information on assembly, move too fast, and need to be more "Forrest Gump" friendly.
* The shoulder mount design needs to be more cushioned.
* Also, the red rock Micro catalogue shows rigs with corresponding names, that are jacked up... meaning, you think you are buying one thing, then you get it home, open it up, and it is missing a handle... and then you have to pay $200.00 + for an additional handle.
* Support is friendly, when you talk to them... but they send you an email, telling you they will get back to you in 24-48 hours... which, in my mind, after spending $5,000.00 is NOT good service.
* I will continue to try to use the rig... but do find it difficult.

I liked how easy it was to assemble and use, however the most important part of the rig, namely the gears and follow focus unit, seemed fragile and imprecise. If the could make the focusing more smooth and solid feeling, this would be a first class rig.

Comments about Redrock Micro eyeSpy Deluxe Bundle DSLR Rig:
It's good for the price compared to other brands but not an excellent product.
Without the extra handle it's almost impossible to use it because of the imbalance. The second handle can not be attached strongly enough, so it moves while shooting.
Follow focus works OK.

Comments about Redrock Micro eyeSpy Deluxe Bundle DSLR Rig:
I was surprised when I put it together and discovered that the short rods were not the same diameter. One of them was slightly thicker than the other. I was almost unable to force the fatter rod into the holes on the riser while the other one slid in and out easily. The grip worked on the fat rod but would not hold on the other one no matter how tight I made it. I was unable to remove the fat rod from the riser and returned it to B&H that way.
If you place the grip under the longer rods as shown in the photos, it is unbalanced because the weight of the camera and follow focus is off to the side. Putting the grip on a short rod under the camera is better but still uncomfortable.
I'm very unhappy that I paid so much for a poorly designed product that doesn't even assemble properly due to shoddy manufacturing.
I returned it and bought a Shape rig which I like very much so far. At least everything fits.

The quality is awesome and you can re-build it anyway you want. The follow focus is very precise and reliable. It took me only two minutes to put it all together and start shooting.

The build quality is great!
The follow focus is a must have.
The only let down is weight balancing takes time to get used to.

To be used with 5dmkii system. Quality is acceptable but not terrific. Some of the attachment clamping mechanics are a bit weak, but works...Follow focus could be smoother a bit jerky, whips sloppy fit henders smooth pull....Basically very servicable, reasonable value for money...something to upgrade from. Next stop Arri.
