I have multiple uses for these headphones - primarily use them when driving a small boat which can be very wet and rough - they have held up well in this aspect. The weird looking rubber pieces that stick out are very comfortable (and there are three different sizes, and they can be removed as well). There are also three different sizes of ear piece as well so they will fit a wide variety of ears.
Sound quality is excellent in this price range, considering some of the cost is because of the water resistance of the product. Another nice thing is that there are two cords - the short cord can be used with an armband mp3 player, or you can add the volume control, which also adds another length of cord, so that you can put the mp3 player in your pocket or on your belt.
I've had them wet with salt water multiple times already and a quick freshwater rinse later is all I've done to maintain them. Inside the ear pieces are small foam pieces that help with the water resistance. In case these get dirty or lost, it comes with a nice tool and spares in the case. There is also a clip permanently attached to one of the individual leads after the "Y" so that one side can be shortened if need be, and there is also a clip that can be added to clip it to clothes. There is also a clip built into the remote volume control. I wouldn't use these even on the surface of the water, but splashes and quick submersions don't seem to affect them at all.
I use these with an Iaudio U5 mp3 player and the sound is amazing. They work fine with Ipods as well, but its hard to beat the quality when paired with a high output mp3 player like the Iaudio series. They have a sound similar, but better, IMO than my Sennheiser CX300's.
Buy these from B&H, or at minimum from an authorized retailer. There are many good, great, even perfect copies of Sennheiser headphones on internet auction sites, most costing half or less, and although they look perfect, they definitely are not the same as the proper ones.
I will be buying another pair of these for the wife.

I use this product while running (around 6-12km) or on the bike ride home.
It has a brilliant sound, the best of any in-ear headphone I have used yet. It is really easy to control the volume on the run. They really are pretty good! :) Very comfortable as well
The cons: The headphones are difficult to place so they don't make sound when I run, but I think I just need to clip it down better. Also towards the end of my run, one of the ears has a tendency to fall out once it becomes sweaty.

I was really hoping these were going to work for long runs, but alas as soon as I start sweating a little, these fall out. The sound quality is decent, otherwise I'd only give them one star. I'm waiting for Yurbuds to offer up a broader size range.

Its a good headphone, but I bought it because I wanted to use it to run every day. It keeps falling though . Besides, there are 2 cord lenght options. one is to short and the other is too long.

I use these headphones for running on a treadmill, and after adjusting the earbud and earfin size they stay securely in my ears. This is the first pair of headphones I've had that actually stay in as advertised. Plus the sound quality is great for the price.

Comments about Sennheiser CX 680 In-Ear Adidas Sports Headphones:
unless you are 5 feet tall the length of the cord is too short for the 1st section and attaching the section with volume control puts on too much weight (I am 5'10). You can feel the volume control pulling up and down as you run. The clip for the volume control does not reach your belt so it pulls off. very disappointed in product not for runners.

Despite the good quality of sound, the sound is low on the left than the right.

the ear fin performs well even during activity. Sound it very good. Would have been nice if they came up with a better clip for the cord which I do find cumbersome - the short cord is too short and the extension makes it too long.
The cost is quite high for what it delivers.
Would be nice if it came with a case to wind up the headphones instead of the bag it provides - it doesn't provide much protection when its being transported in your bag.
However, with all of that said, the main thing that I was looking for was to have the buds STAY in my ears - and it is the best headset I have ever had for that.

Great set of headphones. The funky ears which are intended to help keep the earbuds in don't do much for me, however. They fit me, but not my wife so I can't give these 5 stars. Sound is as good as my other Sennheisers, but not high end. Should probably be a bit cheaper given the throwaway nature of sports headphones.

These headphones sound good and isolate noise pretty well, but they don't stay in the ears as advertised, at least when running. I have a different pair of Sennheiser Sport headphones, the type with the standard, non noise-isolating type of earbud and solid, round in-ear "wing," and that design is far more secure in the ear.
This model also has a mid-cable volume control that, while light, bobs around too much for me (even when clipped to my shirt).
I would still recommend these headphones, just not for runners. This model would be good for users of bicycles, elliptical machines, etc.
