The Fujifilm S1800 12.2 MP Digital Camera helps you move up to a higher level of photography--12.2 MP resolution, an amazing 18X optical zoom lens (28-504mm equivalent on a 35mm camera), low-light capability using the high sensitivity function (up to ISO 6400) and the CCD-shift image stabilization (also great when using the very long telephoto end of the zoom range), and the high resolution 3" LCD monitor give you photographic tools seldom found on a "point and shoot" digital camera.
SR AUTO scene recognition automatically gives you the optimum setting for such common shooting situations as Natural Light, Natural Light with Flash, Zoom Bracketing, Smile, Portrait, Landscape, Sport, Night, Night (with Tripod), Fireworks, Sunset, Snow, Beach, Party, Flower, and more. Or, you can take control and make all the adjustments manually. Your choice.
There's also a panoramic mode that stitches together 3 photos side-by-side automatically in the camera for an ultra-wide view, a tracking auto focus to get sharp pictures of moving people or objects, face detection that maximizes exposure and focus for faces in your images, and even a blink/smile detection mode that eliminates blinks and catches smiles. Oh, and don't forget the HD video with 720p resolution and sound recording. This is a camera you may never outgrow.

- Dual Image Stabilization is the combination of high sensitivity and CCD shift image stabilization that works to eliminate blurred photos by freezing action and minimizing blurs at maximum zoom range.
- High Sensitivity (Max. ISO 6400)
- Maximum sensitivity of ISO 6400 lets you take natural, lifelike photos, even with limited available light. And high sensitivity also lets you stop the action, even when the subject is moving at high speeds. At ISO 3200 and 6400, number of recorded pixels is limited to a maximum 3 megapixels. At full resolution (12 megapixels), sensitivity is limited to a maximum ISO 1600.
- HDTV-Compatible Photos & Video
- Able to capture both photos and movies in high-definition 16:9 format, the FinePix S1800 lets you discover the impact of full-screen HDTV image display.
- SR AUTO & Face Detection
- Framed scenes are automatically detected and selected into appropriate camera settings: Portrait, Landscape, Night, Macro, Night Portrait, and Backlit Portrait.
- Face Detection
- Face Detection optimizes people pictures by identifying faces and adjusting focus and exposure to ensure bright, clear results. Red-eye removal automatically detects and corrects flash reflection for a perfect end result.
- Blink/Smile Detection
- The camera will warn you when people in the frame are blinking, giving you the option to retake the photo, or enlarge the face so you can save or delete the image before you take the next shot. The Smile detection function of Scene Position, automatically releases the shutter when the smile appears so you won't miss the adorable smile the moment they happen.
- Tracking Auto Focus
- Keeps fast moving subjects in the frame and in focus, even when the zoom is fully extended.
- Instant Zoom
- A function to follow moving subjects in standard wide view for easy framing at high zoom settings. With a single press of a button, the subject tracked within the selected frame on the LCD, will be captured and saved at a high zoom ratio (1.4x or 2.0x digital zoom).
- Zoom Bracketing Mode
- Enables three shots to be taken at the single press of the button, at varying degrees of magnification (original, 1.4x and 2.0x).
- Panorama Shooting Mode
- This mode captures and combines max. 3 consecutive shots, that are saved to the memory card as a single panoramic picture.
- Natural Light and with Flash
- Choose this mode, press the shutter and automatically capture the same scene twice: once with high sensitivity and natural light, and the second time with Intelligent Flash. Later choose one or keep both.
- Versatile Shooting Modes
- In addition to a wide range of shooting modes, the FinePix S1800 offers a selection of versatile scene positions that ensure optimum results no matter what the scene: Natural Light, Natural Light & with Flash, Zoom Bracketing, Smile, Portrait, Landscape, Sport, Night, Night (Tripod), Fireworks, Sunset, Snow, Beach, Party, Flower, Text.
