Sanyo Eneloop AA Rechargeable NiMH Batteries combine the advantages of disposable batteries along with the advantages of rechargeable batteries. Because the batteries have a low self discharge the batteries are shipped charged, and ready to use. The low self-discharge design allows you to store the Eneloop batteries for months and they will still provide almost full capacity and performance. Even after being stored for 1 year, the battery holds 85% of its charge. When charging the batteries there isn't any memory effect, so you get a full charge every time. Also the batteries have a life cycle of around a 1000 charges.
One of the main features of Eneloop batteries is that they operate at higher voltage levels than other similar batteries. Many applications switch off or show the low battery signal if the voltage is lower than 1.1V. A traditional NiMh battery will lose its voltage at this critical level. Eneloop batteries, however, will keep the voltage level over 1.1V for a long time. That is why Eneloop batteries last longer than a standard 2700 mAh battery.

I have used these in a Nikon MB-D10 battery grip to get 8 fps from my Nikon. Very good charge retention, better than older Sanyo 2500 NI-MH I have used.

Buying less and less of throw away batteries b/c of these. Using them for toys, remotes and my SB-600 flash. Recycle time between flashes is better with these batteries.

Comments about Sanyo Eneloop AA Rechargeable NiMH Batteries (8-Pack):
these are the best batteries hands down. they work with a majority of chargers out there, relatively cheap, last very long between charges, no memory problems and look cool. I first got these in Japan in 2005 and everyone was like "where'd you get those?!"

Comments about Sanyo Eneloop AA Rechargeable NiMH Batteries (8-Pack):
Used them for SB-900 flash.
They came readily charged, and most importantly lasted for the whole night on just one set. Used them for a small engagement party, for about 5 hours.
Charging mechanisms are great, just wish they would charge a little faster.
I might be a little off by saying this but I thought the batteries were a little heavier than the previous set of batteries I used.

Use oodles of AA batteries on our photo and cinema shoots its nice to come home with a bag full of dead batteries that we can bring to life the very next day for reuse.
Cons its that nothing last forever, eventual we understand they will loose its full capacity of recharge

Comments about Sanyo Eneloop AA Rechargeable NiMH Batteries (8-Pack):
I use now these batteries in my Canon 580EX2 flash. My last set let me down by having one of the batteries out of 4 go down to .5 volts, while the others stayed charged. My flash would not fire and I messed up the shoot. The Eneloop I have, hold their charge and have never let me down. I can't risk using anything but Eneloops from now on.
They might cost a bit more but they are worth it.

Really good batteries. I never have a problem with them. I charge them and leave them set for months and load them in my DSLR and I'm ready to go they still have a full charge, this is even in winter months. Best rechargeable batteries I have ever used.

Comments about Sanyo Eneloop AA Rechargeable NiMH Batteries (8-Pack):
I bought this 8-pack of Eneloop AA ReChargeable Batteries because we continue to eliminate all other rechargeable batteries from their uses in flashlights, cameras, remote controls, and other appliances in our home and shop, and I'd frankly just run out and needed more! The Eneloop brand name battery is by far the longest-lasting, most durable and reliable AA battery ever made, at least I am convinced about this fact because I use the batteries in so many different applications and I've seen just how good the batteries are during the past 1.5 years in flashlights, my remote-control car and truck racing equipment such as the actual controller that I use to steer and give throttle to my vehicles, my Pentax *ist DS DSLR camera, and other key applications and uses. The batteries consistently take a top charge and maintain that charge for the longest times vs other brands of rechargeables, and that means I've come to believe in the Eneloops more and more, and I've had to continue with buying replacement batteries for the other brands that I am discontinuing use of.When a 2000-mAh rated battery consistently out-performs and outlasts a 2500-2800-mAh rated battery that really says something about the Eneloop product that is undeniable, and kind of shocking to be honest about it! Who could have imagined that this would be true today, with all the wild claims of other manufacturers being the "longest lasting" or "best rechargeable" battery systems, while my Eneloop batteries just out-perform, out-last, and in severe use are more durable and reliable that any other brand? For example my radio control race-car controller, which is made by Futaba, takes no less than 8 of the Eneloops at a time and requires a high charge maintained for at least 60-straight minutes when I am doing Enduro-style racing, and I've yet to have a failure of my controller in NORRCA or ROAR (the sactioning bodies of professional/amateur radio controlled car and truck racing) races, and this fact has made me a contender and a winner in all my races of the past year and a half, when I switched to Eneloops from several other brands that I previously used.As for the Pentax *ist DS DSLR camera, using Eneloops makes it incredibly easy to use vs before when I had to worry about the rechargeables **LOSING THEIR CHARGE** between uses of the camera, so I was constantly having to recharge batteries even after limited use because they'd drop their charge up to 100% when the camera was stored for anywhere from a week to a couple months between uses: that doesn't happen anymore with Eneloops! A most welcome change!!I stopped counting at approximately 40 Eneloop AA batteries in service for us in the home, for my racing, and in other hobby/recreational-oriented uses like camping lanterns, high-intensity flashlights for emergency use in our cars, and other critical uses that we really depend on the Eneloops for these days, so there is apparently no end in sight for how many of these fantastic performing AA rechargeable batteries we'll be using as time goes on.I am convinced, as my title for this review suggests, that the Eneloop AA batteries are the finest, best batteries of this type in the world, with no other brand approaching their multiple attributes and longevity, durability, and reliability factors that are second to none. [...] I just couldn't be more pleased and happy with my purchases of the Eneloop brand AA batteries, and will keep on buying them from B&H until I've totally replaced every single other type of AA rechargeable in our equipment of all types.By the way, when I purchased the Eneloops I used to use a fancy battery charger that was quite pricey, but over time I've switched to using an Energizer Fast Charger, which charges the batteries to 95% of capacity in about 15-20 minutes, and to 100% capacity if you leave them on the charger for trickle charging for another 10-15 minutes, so the Eneloops are perfectly happy being charged with a fast charger as well as a complicated, and difficult to use fancy-dancy and expensive charger system.

Comments about Sanyo Eneloop AA Rechargeable NiMH Batteries (8-Pack):
Use these with three Canon 580EX Flash Heads and Canon's 8 cell battery pack that plugs into the 580's. Theses work better than any other NiMH battery I have ever tried. Super fast recycle time and go on and on. I was concerned about the 2000mAH rating but after using these for the last couple of months I know these are the best. Just get them no more procrastinating like I did. I am thrilled with them. Awesome product Sanyo, well done!

Use these in my Camera Flash and an indoor remote control helicoptor and I find these batteries to charge quickly and hold a charge for an acceptable timeframe. I haven't had them long enough to have a good idea how long they are lasting.
