I am a film teacher/videographer and I needed an "on-camera" light for my kids to use for filming and for me to do wedding videos. As a fat guy who is getting older and does not want to carry heavy gear anymore, I wanted to get away from my heavy power NRG power-belt that I used for lighting receptions at weddings. I bought this light because of the price and size.

After reading some reviews about it, I decided to dip in and purchase the light and kit. When I got it i thought wow it's all plastic, and it is not going to be very bright. I charged the battery with the included charger, and turned it on. Wow, what a great light! This baby throws out some bright white, light, and it is nice and even! It comes with barn doors and an orange and white diffuser. Both snap on easily and really help the image if you need it. I like the fact you can change battery's on this thing quick, and they fit nice and tight behind the LED's. Also the charge time was very quick. Their is an on/off behind the light that works well. It also comes with various ways to mount it to your camera. If anything was negative for me, I would say I use the cannon HV40's and it the light mount would not fit in the hot-shoe, the light itself was too low and hit the top of the tape door. It does come with a side bar that will let you screw it in on the bottom of the camera, then mount your light off to the side. I took some of the gear they included and epoxy/glued them together so the light would mount in the hot shoe with the screw down clamp they provided. It worked perfectly! I love this light, it's inexpensive, bright, light, and works as advertised.
