The greatest thing about this little baby is that even a 61 year old can take it out of the box.. put the battery in and intuitively operate most used functions. Getting too old to be messing with electronics learning. My learning curve ain't what it use to be.
After the few minutes to take pictures of my cat, I wanted to see about movies. Actually wasn't even sure it did movies. Worked it like a charm.
I waited a a year after I gave a young lady my older Nikon I purchased it for the same reasons I purchased this L22, fantastic pictures and super easy to use. This ease of use extends to transferring pictures to my portable (a small Gateway netbook) I don't have an external cd drive for it so couldn't load the software that came with the camera. Just plugged it in and Windows 7 transferred the pictures over.
Lots of software and a digital manual came with it. Only read the few page quick guide.
I love the camera, its great pictures, ease of use and light weight. Not to mention, excellent zoom.

I am really disappointed with my camera! There is a terrible delay time which causes me to loss a lot of the pictures I wanted. The photos are often grainy and not always focused well. I can't wait to get rid of this camera and buy a different one. I was expecting a quality camera from Nikon but now I will hunt for a different brand. Sorry

Comments about Nikon Coolpix L22 Digital Camera (Silver):
I purchased the refurb for [$], so I cannot complain about the price! It seems like the standard Nikon point and shoot with some shortcuts. No viewfinder, which isn't a major deal, since the backscreen is big and bold. The different modes are a nice touch, although if you have fat fingers, good luck manipulating the buttons! ...Came with two AA's, which are still running after 60 or so pics. The auto-focus is somewhat sluggish and a bit annoying at times. But what do you want for [$]! Buy it for $100, if you are looking for an easy-use camera.

What a great little camera! Small enough to fit in a shirt pocket but loaded with features. My brother-in-law is a professional photographer and a Nikon fanatic. He is amazed at the cost/performance ratio of this camera. It takes great pictures, has a large display, and comes with great software for uploading. Very happy with this purchase.

I bought this in 2/2011 and 6 months later the battery latch door was broken. Nikon repair center said it was user's fault and cost me $68.50 for the repairment. I am quite disappointed with the quality of the camera. I have been using Nikon for years, with N65, D50 to D90 and all the lens.

My son is going to school in Germany in June. He is not one to use a camera but wanted to take some pictures to send home. I purchased this refurbished Nikon Coolpix L22. It was small and easy to operate. Picture quality was just as good as my expensive SLR. Great camera to fit in your shirt pocket and take on a trip. Image stabilization could have been better.

It's a simple point & shoot, but for convenience and simplicity it's a great value. And it's a Nikon - enough said. I got it with a kit that included an 8 GB card and a carrying case for a young person who was graduating college and wanted a simple good camera for snapshots of friends and travel photos.

Small and easy to use. I bought it for the wife who is "camera shy" and "road tested" it myself for several days of shooting prior to giving it to her. I found the camera performed more than up my expectations. . . sharp focus photos, along with easy "point-and-shoot" operation. Buy it!

I use the product in an indoor office setting to take photographs of our wares. It is super easy to use, which is great for the luddites among us. Great quality of photographs with simple settings that are easy to adjust for any lighting situation. This camera is not as fancy as the other Coolpix cameras that have touch-screens, and there is no video setting, but those options would be overkill for the use that I need this camera for.

It works as well as my son's $500 Nikon. But, not as many things and gadgets to try and figure out. In fact he keeps borrowing it.
