Living on the Battlefield in Gettysburg this camera bag is perfect for my morning or evening walks. I'm able to carry my SLR with attached lens, two extra lenses, a monopod and my rangefinder, a total of about 7 pounds. After only a few weeks with this product the rain cover has already come in handy on two occasions. I recommend this product highly for day trips. It is easy on the shoulders and seems extremely well made.

I travel a lot and decided to buy a slingshot bag for my SLR. I have two Olympus lenses and one of my telephoto is too big to fit. Perhaps not most of SLR lenses will fit into this bag. Very convinient to carry. Most pockets have use on it and the best part, it has a place to put your tripod. Like I said very simple yet needs more adjustment. There's another version of this but it looks very bulky to wear. Maybe a little adjustments inside the area of the lenses and camera will be a perfect idea.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 102 AW Camera Bag:
When I bought my DSLR I couldn't afford a bag but quickly realised after using a backpack that it was essential.
I decided I only wanted a small, handy bag for daytrips. Something I could easily throw over my shoulder and also use as the camera's home whenever not in use. Since i already have a quality backpack that I can probably fit the slingshot in if I need to fit extra gear in, it seemed like the right choice and the price was the icing on the cake. Excellent value for money from B&H. I looked at many similar sized bags but nothing came close even for $10 or so more.
One of my concerns with similar sized bags was fitting my D7000 w/ 18-105mm lens comfortably and being able to access it easily. No problems with the 102 and there's plenty of space for 2 extra lenses with the extra space in the top part, invaluable for keeping things like blower, torches or an extra small camera. There are plenty of extra pockets all over for filters remote ets. and as usual with Lowepro bags, the design is very user-friendly. For example, open the zippers to access the camera and there are two card pockets underneath, just where you'd want them. The monopod holder and raincover are two more examples of brilliant design.
In use, the bag is comfortable and easily slings around to access your gear. i've ridden my bike with it on my bag and ran and it's not uncomfortable. This was another aspect that made me choose a sling bag over a shoulder type.
If you couldn't already tell, I love this camera bag!

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 102 AW Camera Bag:
Generally speaking, this bag does exactly what it says and does it well. I like everything about it. My only warning is that it's a bit on the small side. However, I don't count this as negative because the bag advertises itself as a smaller bag (size is clearly stated -- camera w/ lens and 1 or 2 additional lenses). If you are looking for a bigger bag, the slingshot 202 AW is still not a "big" bag, but holds more gear than the 102 AW. However, if a smaller bag is what you want, this one is great. I use it as a "easy" carrying bag for events (friends' weddings, get-togethers) and for hiking. Basically, for any time I know I only need a couple lenses and not the entire arsenal of camera gear. Honestly, how often do you need absolutely everything with you for a day trip?

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 102 AW Camera Bag:
The bag is extremely versatile with lots of space for SD cards, batteries and odd items that you may want to carry when out of the entire day. The rain cover and tripod straps are terrific. Only downside was that the flexible storage compartments in the main area do not adjust to allow for storage of large lens (55-300mm). There is an enough space but the padded dividers will not accommodate it.

Great camera bag for one house plus two extra lenses. The extra compartment can also be used for additional items. Very easy to get the camera out quickly by turning the bag to the stomach and can there be used to support the elbows.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 102 AW Camera Bag:
I've only really used it a handful of times so far, but it seems fairly well padded and has many handy pockets/compartments. Not the slickest sling but certainly functional. We'll see how the straps hold up.

The pack comfortably hold the camera and extra lenses. Added feature of card pockets and built in foul wearer cover. If you are looking for a compact pack with easy access to your gear this is the one to consider.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 102 AW Camera Bag:
It was as I had expected based on the other reviews. It is a nice size for a petite frame. I like the idea of the slingshot since it mimics the way I wear my messenger bag but this bag is more stable on my back when hiking than a messenger bag would be. Since I do not have a lot of gear, weight has not been a problem. Fitting the Canon long lens (55-220mm) into one of the compartments is a little tight but not a deal breaker for me.

Good day hiker or walk around bag. Good for a small zoom not for a large. For what it is I would have designed it the same. No complaints here, but leave it off your list if you have mid to large zoom in mind.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 102 AW Camera Bag:
Incredibly lovely bag! I use this with my D7000 with MB-D11, 35mm, 50mm and 18-200mm plus SB-900. Yet I have little room for storage media, extra batteries and cleaning kit for my camera and lenses. I have easy access to the camera and using only a few seconds to get it out of the bag and have it ready for use.
"... Thanks to the U.S. and their low prices on photo equipment. In Norway costs Lowepro Slingshot 102 AW a little over 200 U.S. Dollars ..."

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 102 AW Camera Bag:
I purchased the Lowepro Slingshot 102 while I was in New York for a photography seminar. My other camera bag was not cutting it so, on a stop to B&H, I tried out the Slingshot. From the moment I put it on it felt very comfortable. It was easy to slide around to the front and the back again. I then decided to put it to the test by loading it with some of my camera gear. It still felt great especially when I used the additional strap for support.
Once I got it back to the room, I packed it up with my camera (kit lens attached), 2 additional lenses, and my flash (which I put in the top zipper compartment). It still felt very comfortable on my back and, as I walked around NY, I was able to slide the Slingshot easily around to the front for easy access to my camera.
All in all, I think this is a great purchase for someone wanting a bag for everyday use with minimal gear.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 102 AW Camera Bag:
Bag has two compartments: one small for accessories and the other one for a small SRL and one lenses. It is very comfortable to carry.
My only complain is my fault. I assumed that my old equipment (one lenses and flash) and my new nikon 5100 would fit and they dont. So i have to purchase a bigger bag. Besides that, it is a great product.

Very comfortable to carry around, easy to flip and remove camera. Fits camera with lense attached, and up to 2 more lenses. Lots of pockets for extra batteries, memory cards, etc.
This is a compact bag and there is not much room for personal items, if you want to carry lots of misc items go with the larger version.
