The 13.3" MacBook Pro Notebook Computer from Apple is a powerful notebook computer with an innovative aluminum unibody design. It is loaded with advanced power management features which allow it to run for up to 10 hours on a single charge.
The computer's 13.3" display features a LED backlight and a glossy finish. Its 1280 x 800 native resolution gives you ample screen real estate with which to work. You'll be able to output to an external display at up to 2560 x 1600 resolution thanks to the computer's Mini DisplayPort output.
The system is powered by a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and is loaded with 4GB of memory and a 250GB 5400rpm hard drive. Graphics are handled by integrated nVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics with 256MB of shared DDR3 memory.
The computer features a comfortable backlit chiclet-style keyboard, which features space between each key for improved accuracy and comfort when typing. It also sports a glass Multi-Touch trackpad with a clickable design. Rather than having a separate button for mouse clicks, the entire surface of the pad is clickable. This increases the active surface area, and allows you to quickly click, even if your finger is near the top of the trackpad.
What's more, the smooth surface fully supports Multi-Touch gestures -- you can tap the trackpad with one finger to click, with two fingers to right click, scroll through documents using two fingers, pinch to zoom, navigate through Safari or iPhoto with three-finger left and right swipes, or use two fingers to rotate a photo or PDF.
iLife '11, a complete suite of digital creativity applications, is installed on the system. Easy enough for anyone to use, iLife will help you edit your home movies, organize digital photos, and compose original music.
The computer is loaded with Apple's Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard operating system. The 64-bit OS features Time Machine backup, which automatically backs up system data to an external hard drive. It also features intuitive Cover Flow navigation, the powerful Spotlight search tool, and Quick Look document preview. You'll be able to use Boot Camp to run Windows on your Mac, or Front Row to turn your Mac into an impressive media player.

I have had my 13" MacBook Pro for two weeks now which has been enough time to put this machine through its paces and form an opinion about its features and performance. Like many of you, I was a long-time PC user who decided to make the switch to Mac. My only regret is that I did not switch sooner. I would equate this switch to upgrading from a Geo Prism to a Lexus. The first thing I noticed was the build quality, which is top notch. The second this is the functionality. Everything on this machine is geared toward being user friendly and designed to serve the needs of its user, unlike a PC which contains so much junk the user doesn't need, or worse, is designed to get you to use something you don't need. So much for the overview.
I use this product primarily for creativity. I am a writer and use the Mac daily for that purpose. I find the 13" MacBook Pro is ideally suited for this purpose. It is small, but not TOO small, and the battery life is excellent, allowing me to write where and when I want. Battery life was a major factor in my purchase. I came from writing in an MS Word so I was a bit apprehensive at first. I purchased IWorks thinking that Pages was serve my purpose but soon found that this program did not fulfill my needs. I was left with two options, either purchase and download the Windows operating system (thanks to B&H Photo the computer came with Parallels) and THEN download MS Office, or buy MS Office for Mac. After doing quite a bit of research I opted for the latter option and have had no regrets. I have found the robust criticism of Office for Mac to be unfounded. I have opened and revised numerous Word documents created in Office on my Sony Vaio and in every instance they transferred flawlessly. Although I have not used the other Office apps (except Powerpoint - see below), I find Word for Mac a total joy to use; indeed I prefer the layout and functionality of this version to the windows version. It has everything I need for my writing with an interface that is exactly where I need it to be, neither in the way nor buried where I can't find it. I was also delighted to learn that a Powerpoint presentation I had created also imported flawlessly into its Mac counterpart, although I will say that Mac's counterpart program, called Keynote, also opened the same file flawlessly as well, so I now have two choices!
Other things that are great about this computer are its speed, simplicity of use, and feature set. As a PC user I had to learn the differences in the interface and controls, but I can report that it's not that painful. I had bought one of those "missing manual" type books in anticipation of needing help navigating around OS 10 but, frankly, I have not had to refer to it much at all. Everything is pretty intuitive. My machine came with 4G ram and 250MB drive and find it does everything fast, though granted the word processing I do does not require a lot of muscle. I have done some photo editing and plan in the future to use this computer for music production and video work. I do not anticipate any speed issues with those functions.
i can honestly say I have not found any faults with this computer.
In conclusion, this computer is a marvel. It is fast, rugged, functional. It is everything I wish a PC could be. It is what every computer should be but unfortunately is not. To anyone needing a computer that is all of the above, I highly recommend it. If you are on the go a lot, as I am, and don't require a bigger screen size, I recommend the 13". If you need more screen real estate or if it will be primarily a desktop machine, I would recommend the 15 or 17 MacBook. Of course, if it will be desktop only and you don't need to travel or move it from room to room, get an iMac which will give you more power, and that big beautiful screen, for an equivalent price.

This is my second new Mac system in 7 weeks that is defective. [...] It came with an intermittently working Power Board. I had to rub the MagSafe adapter really hard like a tootbrush against the Power Board or detach-and-attach over and over to have the power on or light up and charge. Genius Bar had diagnosed that its the unibody that is defective not the adapter cable. [...]My first one was a MacBook White unibody bought from a different Apple authorized reseller that was bought on [...] and came with a defective Optical Drive. What are the odds that you might get a defective Mac system, perhaps none. And me? TWICE.

Second MacBook for me; sold the first one after 4 years. The new MacBookPro has been good so far, although it was not as good at acquiring wireless signals as my previous MacBook (white).

Comments about Apple 13.3" MacBook Pro Notebook Computer:
13" is more portable than 15 and 17", but has enough extension capability than the Macbook Air.
This is last year's model but it has a NV GPU, this enables a few more stuffs than AMDs.
The CPU is a little outdated, but enough.
This price is good.

I got the MacBook Pro mainly for college work(I'm going to be studying Multimedia Design/photography). It's very fast, even before I upgraded the ram. Lightweight, everything is just perfect on here! Not a negative thing found so far.

I was thinking about a PC because of the money. In doing my research I knew I needed the MacBook. I found the best deal here and have recommended the site for a friend who is looking to purchase one for her daughter who is graduating from HS. It is so much fun, easy to use, and easy to set up. I was able to transfer all of my information, photos, and music in a matter of hours. Don't even think about a PC, go for the Mac!

This was purchased for my daughter's birthday. We shopped several retailers but couldn't decide which Apple would be best for her. When I found it here for a better price, I [...] even got her a wireless printer...all for less than buying a lesser computer locally! When my husband is in the market for a new laptop and I plan to go straight to this website!!!

I'm already use MacBook for three weeks and I'm very satisfied. I use it for work, I'm programmer. During these three weeks everything was OK.
Is is very powerful and very convenient device. Good web camera is very convenient for skyping and.
If you already have some experience with Mac OS then you will not have any troubles with it, but if you new Mac OS user you can receive some troubles with software.
My opinion is that this is very good laptop for business reasons. If you need the laptop for games then maybe this laptop is not for you, because I think that it is still a little number of games that supports Mac OS.

This is my second macbook pro I previously owned the 17" macbook pro unibody. The 13.3 macbook pro is so much more practical and affordable, It came with Parallels 6 so I acquired windows 7 and now run both operating systems as ONE in Coherence Mode! I'll never need a pc again.
