This solved a pretty serious problem I was having with my Zoom F3 where I would plug into a board to record audio from a live event and would get a message saying the max input level was exceeded and I couldn't record. Because the F3 didn't have level dials this was nearly a disaster. Now this goes everywhere the F3 goes and I know I can lower the input levels and avoid that issue.

I needed this device. The hard part was finding the specifications for frequency response. Lots of digging between Shure itself, but found it. I wanted to make sure it did what it was supposed to do.
