I picked this up in NYC shortly after buying a 4x5 view camera.

The double zipper and elastic armbands work just like they should; there's no question about the build quality or performance.

The only reason I can't give this 5 stars is the size. Kalt should really just discontinue this and sell more of the 27x30's.

After a little finagling and practice, I can load five 4x5 film carriages at a time with the 17x17. It's very tight, though, and a little hard to maneuver in.

I really don't understand the thinking of the folks that made this bag. If you have tiny hands and are loading a single roll of 35mm film, using a small *stainless steel* tank + reel, maybe you can get away with it. Forget about anything over that.

This is a great product and I guess I should have thought before purchase but these bags are a bit tight for loading 4 x 5. It would be nice to perhaps have that inthe product info as to limits.

I plan using this product for my Pinhole and Black and White Photography Classes. I fell in love with the process of it all. The darkroom is fun to work in and developing your own pictures is very fulfilling. It is great that you can use this bag and go out anywhere you want to and use it anywhere.

This is a well made bag. Its comparable quality to the ones Ive used in the past. I bought this to load 4x5 film into holders. Its rather small for that task however. I put in about 5 holders at a time with a box of 10 sheets. It works fine, its just a bit of maneuvering. Id say it might be more suited for bulk loading or something of that nature, but as I think about it now those contraptions aren't exactly minuscule either. Over all its ok, but if I were to do it again Id choose the slightly larger model, for the extra 5 bucks.
