WhiBal White Balance G7 Studio Kit
The WhiBal White Balance G7 Studio Kit provides you with a reference point for acquiring accurate color temperature within a particular lighting scenario. Because color temperature varies under different lighting sources (i.e. sunlight, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent) it's important to use a white balance card for proper color representation under any type of light.
WhiBal white balance cards are designed to be neutrally gray throughout their surface, are water and scratch proof, and are individually tested by an industrial spectrophotometer before they leave the factory. For it to work properly the card must be held at an angle where there's no reflection bouncing off of it. For this reason the white balance card, which in itself is very low reflective, features a highly reflective sticker that shows the photographer at a glance whether the card is held properly.
To achieve maximum results it's best to shoot in RAW and then use a RAW conversion program such as Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom to adjust the picture. With a RAW conversion software you can also white balance at once a group of pictures taken under the same lighting conditions. Included in the kit are a stand and a hanger for placing the card upright on a wall or horizontal surface. Also included is a Tyvek sleeve for protecting the card in between uses.

- The Gray card is designed for low reflectivity, except that the sticker is intentionally highly reflective so that maximum TrueBlack Blackpoint level may be achieved by observing for maximum glare point and then backing the angle down.
- Can be used to set white balance reference, black point and white point.

Easy to fit in your camera bag but large enough for outdoor work. Hold it up at the start or end of your location shoot and you are in business for post processing as long as the light stays the same. The card is very solid and should last for many years.

I'm taking picture of paintings and like to have the closest color as original. I used to work with customized WB function in the SLR and I found very annoying to focus on a white paper, which actually is never white. This card does the trick, it has a grid to focus. So easy !

This product does an outstanding job at white balance correction. I setup my Nikon D7000 to some really wacky white balance settings and shot a few test shots with the Whibal card in some to test out white balance correction and man what a great job this little card did. I even used auto white balance settings on camera and took test shots of card in pictures to compare the auto on camera and the cards white balance, and got better results with true color from the Whibal card. I use this in lightroom 3 with the white balance picker tool. Just click on card and that's it, then sync all your photos that were taken in the same lighting/place/setting. This is so easy, even a cave-women can do it. Glad I bought this, almost got the Xrite color checker passport at a much higher $$$. Save your money and get this.

Durable and convenient size to fit in a shirt or pants pocket. The plastic is durable enough to last and better than paper gray cards. Having a black and white reference on the card is also helpful.
